You can now use AWS DataSync to transfer data into and out of 5 additional AWS Regions: Europe (Stockholm), South America (São Paulo), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), and AWS GovCloud (US-East).
DataSync is an online data transfer service that provides you with a simple way to automate and accelerate copying data over the internet or AWS Direct Connect, between Network File System (NFS) or Server Message Block (SMB) file servers, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) buckets, and Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) file systems. DataSync automates data transfers, including encryption, scheduling, monitoring, and data integrity validation. You can use DataSync to migrate active data to AWS, transfer data to the cloud for analysis and processing, or replicate data to AWS for archiving or business continuity.
With this launch, DataSync is now available in 20 AWS Regions: US East (Northern Virginia and Ohio), US West (Northern California and Oregon), Canada (Central), AWS GovCloud (US-East and US-West), South America (São Paulo), Europe (Frankfurt, Ireland, London, Paris, and Stockholm), Middle East (Bahrain), and Asia Pacific (Hong Kong, Mumbai, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo). To learn more visit the AWS DataSync website or try it out in the AWS Console.
