Amazon DynamoDB global tables are now available in the Europe (Milan) and Europe (Stockholm) Regions. With global tables, you can give massively scaled, global applications local access to a DynamoDB table for fast read and write performance. You also can use global tables to replicate DynamoDB table data to additional AWS Regions for higher availability and disaster recovery.

Global tables build upon the global footprint of DynamoDB to deliver a fully managed, multi-region, multi-source database. By using global tables, you can replicate table updates automatically across the AWS Regions you choose. You can set up global tables at any time with just a few clicks in the AWS Management Console or by using the AWS SDK.

With this launch, DynamoDB global tables are now available in the following 21 AWS Regions: US East (Ohio), US East (N. Virginia), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Canada (Central), China (Beijing), China (Ningxia), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), Europe (London), Europe (Milan), Europe (Paris), Europe (Stockholm), South America (Sao Paulo), AWS GovCloud (US-East), and AWS GovCloud (US-West).
