AWS IoT SiteWise is a managed service that makes it easy to collect, store, organize and monitor data from industrial equipment at scale to help you make better, data-driven decisions.
We are excited to announce that AWS IoT SiteWise Monitor adds support for accessing Monitor portals using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) users and roles. With IAM support for SiteWise Monitor, customers already using IAM to access AWS console can speed up the process of creating portals by using their existing identity and access workflow to login to SiteWise Monitor portals. With IAM support for AWS IoT SiteWise Monitor, customers can now choose between IAM and AWS Single Sign-On as their preferred enterprise identity source when creating a portal in SiteWise Monitor. With IAM support for AWS IoT SiteWise Monitor, customers can also use identity federation with SAML 2.0 (Security Assertion Markup Language 2.0), an open standard that many identity providers (IdPs) use.
To learn more about how you can access AWS IoT SiteWise Monitor using IAM users and roles, check out the Getting started with AWS IoT SiteWise Monitor, Monitoring data with web portals, Administering your SiteWise Monitor portals, or AWS IoT SiteWise IAM roles sections on our documentation website.
