Starting today, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) M6gd instances are available in Europe (Paris) region. These instances are powered by AWS Graviton2 processors and are built on the AWS Nitro System, a collection of AWS designed hardware and software innovations that enables the delivery of efficient, flexible, and secure cloud services with isolated multi-tenancy, private networking, and fast local storage. These instances offer up to 25 Gbps of network bandwidth and up to 19 Gbps of bandwidth to the Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS).
AWS Graviton2-based instances are supported by many Linux operating systems and several popular services for security, monitoring and management, containers, and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) from AWS as well as partners. To learn more about AWS services and partner solutions for Graviton2-based instances visit AWS Graviton and AWS Graviton Ready program.
To get started with AWS Graviton2-based instances, visit the AWS Management Console, AWS Command Line Interface (CLI), and AWS SDKs. You can also get started with Graviton2-based instances for no charge with the T4g free trial, which provides up to 750 hours per month with the t4g.small instances through December 31, 2023. To learn how to migrate your workloads to AWS Graviton-based instances, see the AWS Graviton Fast Start Program, AWS Graviton Technical Guide GitHub Repository, AWS Graviton Transition Guide, and Porting Advisor for Graviton.
