AWS Week in Review – June 17, 2013

Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week:

Monday, June 17	We posted three AWS recruiting videos featuring interviews with members of our professional services, software development, and support teams. We added new AWS customer case studies for Adobe and Vodafone.
Tuesday, June 18	We published an article in the AWS Security Blog to show you how to Use IAM Policies to Implement User-Level Access to S3 Folders. You can now use payloads of up to 256 KB with Amazon SNS and SQS. A new article in the AWS .NET blog talks about Creating Access Policies in Code.
Wednesday, June 19	We announced that the AWS Data Pipeline now supports jobs that span multiple AWS Regions.
Thursday, June 20	We announced that Amazon RDS now supports MySQL Major Version Upgrades. We added a new customer case study for TraceLink. The AWS Java Blog addresses options for Data Encryption with Amazon S3.
Friday, June 21	This week AWS Marketplace added the latest version of the popular open source operating system CentOS with 1-Click deploy on multiple EC2 instance types and regions. Visit the CentOS 6.4 product page to learn more. Also added to the marketplace were Bliss Collaboration, Ektron Content Management, Aria StoreFront, Xplenty Hadoop and Zync HPC for media.
