Coming Soon – AWS Events for January 2011

Voiced by Polly

I’ve created a Coming Soon box at the top right of the blog to make it easier for you to learn about upcoming AWS events. Here’s a summary of our plans for January 2011 (not 2010 as originally titled):

  • January 12 – PHP Office Hours – The topic will be PHP and how you can use it with AWS. You’ll get to chat with me and with AWS Development Engineer Ryan Parman.
  • January 18 – Adobe FMS 4 on AWS User Group Meeting – Join Adobe Sr. Product Manager, Kevin Towes as he reviews and demos Flash Media Enterprise Server 4 running on Amazon Web Services, Adobes newest deployment option that makes it easy to access new Peer to Peer functionality and much more. Youll learn how to deploy your FMS applications quickly and affordably on Amazon Web Services and access the power of new features including major enhancements to playback experience, and quality of service, and support for F4F packaging for HTTP streaming.
  • January 19 – Securing Your Data in the Cloud – FreedomOSS and AWS Webinar – Hear best practices on securing data in the cloud featuring yours truly and Max Yankelevich, Chief Architect, FreedomOSS.
  • January 27 – Analytics in the Cloud – Deepak Singh (Senior Business Development Director for AWS) will explain how businesses of any size can rapidly and cost-effectively analyze data sets of any size.
  • January 27 – How to Get Cost Efficient, Secure, and Scalable Data Storage – Learn how your organization can reap the benefits of Cloud storage, just like NSK Inc., an IT Services Management firm in Boston, did by using TwinStrata and Amazon Web Services.
