Unlock Your Factory’s Potential: An Inside Look at AWS re:Invent 2023

Manufacturing is undergoing a revolution. The latest cloud technologies are enabling manufacturers to optimize operations, reduce costs, and create new revenue streams. At AWS re:Invent 2023, happening November 27th to December 1st in Las Vegas, Nevada, attendees will get an inside look at how leading manufacturers are using AWS cloud technology to transform their operations, create software defined products for new customer experiences, and accelerate their sustainability initiatives. Come to Las Vegas for a week of inspiring keynotes, educational workshops and bootcamps, and plenty of peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

We will also have an engaging virtual program for those who cannot join us in person. The virtual re:Invent will include a livestream of keynotes and innovation talks, access to breakout sessions, and more. For more information or to register for the in-person, or virtual re:Invent, visit the Register page.

Event highlight: Generative AI drives innovation

Generative AI will be front and center this year. The draft of this blog was created using generative AI services from AWS! AWS industrial customers and beyond, will share how they are delivering business value from real-world generative AI applications in breakout sessions throughout the week. AWS leaders Adam Selipsky, Dr. Werner Vogels, and Swami Sivasubramanian will provide the latest updates on the world of generative AI, and there will also be workshops and interactive demos providing the opportunity to engage directly with generative AI experts to see how generative AI can help industrial companies truly innovate.

re:Invent 2023 promises to showcase the art of possible for industrial companies through customer examples, demos, and displays. Through a variety of sessions and interactive demos in the expo hall, attendees will see how manufacturers are using AWS Services, AWS Solutions, and AWS Partner solutions to increase productivity, improve supply chain resiliency, and delight their customers with new digital experiences. Here’s a sneak peek of what attendees can expect.

The AWS Industrial Demo Area: A digital transformation launchpad

The AWS Industrial Demo Area in the Expo at the Venetian Hotel will highlight key use cases manufacturers can rapidly enable with the cloud – from smart operations to predictive maintenance. Find us in the AWS Industries Pavilion in the back left of the main expo hall.

The expo demo area will showcase AWS technologies including Industrial IoT, machine learning, and generative AI. The area centerpiece is an interactive Smart Factory demo machine that demonstrates how manufacturers can start their cloud journey by creating a data strategy to securely ingest machine PLC data, operational data, and IT data into AWS. You can also explore hands-on demos showcasing smart connected products, product engineering, sustainability, supply chain and more. You can also check out demos from leading AWS Partners like Siemens, Belden, and InfluxData to see how their solutions running on AWS can benefit your operations.

Expert-Led sessions tailored to manufacturing

A dedicated manufacturing track, and nearly 80 tagged manufacturing sessions, will provide real-world examples of how leading manufacturers are digitally transforming with AWS. Sessions will focus on implemented customer use cases and how AWS offerings speed innovation and digital transformation for manufacturers.

The manufacturing track will include:

  • Breakout sessions with customers like Ferrari, Panasonic Energy, Northvolt, Autodesk, and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen
  • Chalk-talks for technical deep dives
  • Workshops and Builders’ Sessions for hands-on experience
  • A Lightning Talk in the expo hall featuring customer NXP

Innovation Session reveals what’s possible with manufacturing

Wendy Bauer, Vice President and General Manager, Manufacturing and Automotive at AWS, will also host an innovation session AUT207-INT, “Manufacturing and Mobility Innovation in the Cloud”, on Tuesday November 28th from 11 am-12 pm in the Venetian. She’ll discuss how industrial companies are leveraging the cloud to optimize operations, accelerate time-to-market, and generate new revenue streams. The innovation session will provide an inside look at how Siemens accelerates innovation in their factory automation offerings on AWS, and how Honda uses AWS to accelerate innovation across product development, supply chain, and manufacturing.
