Dirk is the current chief technology officer of icometrix. After his studies in biomedical engineering and receiving a PhD in medical image analysis, he started at icometrix, leading the research and development team. Driven by helping patients with neurological conditions, Dirk and his team have developed digital tools for improved diagnosis and follow-up of patients with MS, dementia, TBI, epilepsy, and stroke. Besides his role at icometrix, Dirk is also an expert reviewer for the European Commission and a visiting researcher at the universities of Brussels and Antwerp. Dirk has co-authored 150 publications, 17 patents, and has brought 8 medical devices to the market.
