Masahiro Kitagawa is a Director of Center for Quantum Information and Quantum Biology and a Professor of Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University. He serves as the Project Leader of the Quantum Software Research Hub and the Program Director of Japanese Moonshot toward fault-tolerant universal quantum computers. Before joining the University, he was a senior research scientist at NTT Basic Research Laboratories. He has been in the field of quantum information science since 1985 and his pioneering work was selected as Physical Review A 50th Anniversary Milestones.
