Product Hunt Hosts Its First Global Hackathon

Although everyone claims their hackathon is the best and biggest, product discovery site Product Hunt may actually have a legitimate claim to that title. Starting Nov. 1, the company will host the Product Hunt Global Hackathon, a month-long, and yes, global, online hackathon to create awesome products.

Anyone with a computer is welcome to participate and folks can work by themselves or in teams (there are no restrictions on team size). Product categories include social impact, blockchain/crypto, augmented reality, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and more. To get started, all participants will get access to Ship, PH’s new toolkit to help makers build whatever they want.

Note: While the event starts on Nov. 1, the deadline to sign up is Oct. 29. Winners—as determined by a judging panel of well-known venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and Startup L. Jackson—will be announced Dec. 7. Prizes include iPhone Xs, tickets to TechCrunch Disrupt, and $100,000 in AWS credits. So time to get started!
