AWS K12 Cyber Grant Program
Improve cyber resilience for return to school and throughout the academic year.
AWS launches $20 million K12 Cyber Grant Program
Annual cyberattacks on K12 schools jumped from 400 to 1,300 over a three-year period with the U.S. government predicting that the threat level will increase. As K12 school districts integrate education technology into classrooms to improve learning environments and support their core mission, it’s critical for schools to address growing cybersecurity challenges. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is here to help the K12 community enhance the cybersecurity of their networks to protect against cyber intrusions, ransomware attacks, and data breaches.
To help public schools across the nation implement cloud-based cybersecurity solutions, AWS is investing $20 million in AWS promotional credits to new and existing AWS customers. Grant awards will take into consideration the student population sizes that public school districts, state departments of education, or regional educational service agencies serve, and the scope of the proposed AWS solution(s).
Whether you’re following National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) guidelines, AWS's offerings can enable our K12 customers to meet their unique security needs and our robust AWS Partner Network can customize solutions to meet your school district’s unique needs.
