Amazon Inspector Announces General Availability for Windows

Posted on: Aug 26, 2016

Amazon Inspector now supports security assessments for Windows Server within Amazon EC2. Amazon Inspector now provides assessments for Common Vulnerabilities & Exposures (CVE), CIS Operating System Security Configuration Benchmarks, and Runtime Behavior Analysis for Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, and 2012 R2.

Amazon Inspector is an automated security assessment service that helps improve the security of Amazon EC2 operating systems and the applications deployed on them. Amazon Inspector enables customers to assess environments for vulnerabilities or deviations from best practices. After performing an assessment, Amazon Inspector produces a detailed list of security findings prioritized by level of severity. In addition to Windows, Amazon Inspector already supports Amazon Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux and is available in these regions: US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), EU (Ireland), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), and Asia Pacific (Seoul).
