However, as its customer base grew and it faced competition from emerging online recruiters, 1111 Job Bank sought to improve search efficiency and matching accuracy.

One key challenge was the lengthy and repetitive application process, where job seekers had to complete the same fields on multiple applications. . “Job seekers had to go through extensive filtering, and finding a suitable job match took too long,” says Roger Liu, chief strategy officer at 1111 Job Bank. The company also aimed to launch new AI initiatives, which required the scalability and computing power of the cloud.

Solution | Powering Job Search with AI-Driven Personalization and Automation

In 2022, 1111 Job Bank joined the AWS Digital Innovation Program to prioritize initiatives to improve the job search experience and explore generative AI solutions. This led to a collaboration with Headquarter.ai, an AWS Partner, to enhance search efficiency and streamline job descriptions. Headquarter.ai helped 1111 Job Bank adopt Amazon Personalize and Amazon OpenSearch Service. Amazon Personalize delivers customized job rankings based on each user’s profile, while Amazon OpenSearch Service powers new features like resume abstract—which auto-fills fields from uploaded resumes, saving users time during applications. On the back end, 1111 Job Bank implemented Amazon QuickSight to gain insight into search effectiveness and identify trending keywords in the hiring market. 

The company also integrated Amazon Bedrock to leverage generative AI features. B2B customers benefit from tools that assist in writing job descriptions, reducing time and effort by two-thirds. For B2C users, Amazon Bedrock identifies job preferences and generates concise profile summaries for applications. Additionally, a new chatbot-powered checkbox feature helps job seekers quickly complete targeted job applications by answering specific questions.

By migrating to AWS, 1111 Job Bank has significantly improved job search efficiency and matching accuracy, delivering a seamless experience for both job seekers and employers. The platform has achieved a 12 percent increase in resume submission rates and a 33.01 percent improvement in search error rates, reducing over 10,000 search errors per month. These advancements have contributed to steady business growth of 20–30 percent across both B2C and B2B segments. “We’ve seen a higher score in job matching, reflecting that applicants can now find the right jobs faster while spending far less time searching,” says Liu.

On the B2B side, companies are generating more comprehensive job descriptions 67 percent faster using large language models (LLMs) on Amazon Bedrock. “We’ve lowered the barrier to entry for our business users,” Liu explains. “Companies can now produce detailed job introductions and requirements that better target candidates with specific skills.” The platform has received positive feedback from corporate clients who appreciate the increased ease and efficiency of job posting. Further efficiency boosts have come from the adoption of Amazon OpenSearch Service, replacing a legacy local search provider that previously struggled with network outages and maintenance issues. 1111 Job Bank now collaborates with partners and customers in real time, accelerating service delivery and improving system responsiveness.

Furthermore, 1111 Job Bank has benefited from AWS Training and Certification, which equipped employees with skills to drive further innovations. “The AWS team in Taiwan has been instrumental throughout our journey—assisting during migration and collaborating with us and our partners at every stage,” Liu concludes. With a highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure, 1111 Job Bank drives innovation. The team is actively refining AI-generated job descriptions to attract even more businesses and streamline the hiring process while exploring further opportunities to enhance user experience.
