Health Measures

Overview

The health and safety of our customers, partners and employees remains our top priority. All attendees are required to comply with the health measures. Signage and additional staffing will be in place to support health measures. Revisions will be made in accordance with guidance from Health Canada and local government requirements. At AWS Toronto Summit the following health measures will be in place.

Vaccinations

All badge holders at AWS Summit Toronto must be must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to checking in at the event. Fully vaccinated is defined by Health Canada as:

  • the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized by Health Canada, or any combination of such vaccines (two doses of Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, including COVISHIELD) in any combination or one dose of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)

  • one or two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not authorized by Health followed by one dose of a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine authorized by Health Canada

  • three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not authorized by Health Canada

  • your final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before providing the proof of being fully vaccinated.

A record of COVID-19 vaccination must be provided at onsite check-in to receive your AWS Toronto Summit badge. Acceptable records include attendee’s physical COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card or digital COVID-19 Certificate, COVID-19 vaccine certificate, a photo of the attendee’s COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card, or a digital verification of the attendee’s COVID-19 record from a smartphone application. The name on the attendee’s vaccination record must match their government issued ID.

Testing opt-out

Badge holders who are attending AWS Toronto Summit, who choose not to show a record of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, are able to attend if the attendee provides a record of a negative COVID-19 test. The name on the attendee’s test record must match their government-issued ID. Acceptable negative test results are limited to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and antigen test results provided by a third-party laboratory no more than 24 hours for an antigen test and 72 hours for a PCR test prior to the start of the event. Self-administered tests will not be accepted.

Masks

Masks are strongly encouraged but not required.

Hand Sanitizers

Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event.

Bring a record of your COVID-19 negative antigen or PCR test result to onsite check-in to receive your event badge. Acceptable recodes include your physical COVID-10 antigen or PCR test result, a photo of your test result, or a digital verification from a smartphone application. The name of your test result must match your government-issued ID.

Yes. We will accept record of COVID-19 vaccinations authorized or approved by the national health authority of the country where it was administered.

Acceptable records include the attendee’s physical COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card or digital COVID-19 Certificate (DCC), COVID-19 vaccine certificate (CVC), a photo of the attendee's COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card or a digital verification of the attendee's COVID-19 record from a smartphone application. The name on the attendee’s vaccination record must match their government issued ID.

Yes. Conference meals will be offered. We will follow all local and venue guidelines for service.

No. You will not be required to maintain 6-foot (2 meter) distancing during the event; however, most spaces are designed to allow attendees the option to physically distance.
No, but we require attendees to remain stationary while they eat. Meal halls and designated eating areas are offered to provide seating to allow attendees to remain stationary while they eat. 
If you test positive for COVID-19, please follow guidance provided by Health Canada for testing, isolation, masking, distancing, and seeking medical guidance. Please also report your diagnosis to the relevant public health department, more information can be found on the Government of Ontario website . If a positive COVID-19 diagnosis is disclosed to AWS during AWS Summit Toronto, we will suspend your in-person participation in the event and issue a full refund.
