Introducing the Amazon Braket Learning Plan and Digital Badge
Available today, quantum computing developers, educators, and enthusiasts can learn the foundations of quantum computing on Amazon Web Services (AWS) with the Amazon Braket Digital Learning Plan and earn their own Digital badge – at no additional cost. You earn the badge after completing a series of learning courses and scoring at least 80% on an assessment measuring your knowledge of Amazon Braket, the quantum computing service of AWS.
Quantum computing is an exciting new field. Today, Amazon Braket enables developers to explore early applications of this technology by providing access to a range of different quantum hardware and tooling for programming quantum computers and running hybrid quantum-classical algorithms. As an emerging technology, customers asked us for a better way to get started.
To address this need, together with AWS Training and Certification, we are launching the Amazon Braket Learning Plan which is designed to provide you with the foundational knowledge needed to quickly get up and running with Braket. If you already know how to use Amazon Braket, you can jump right in and take the assessment.
Amazon Braket Learning Plan
This learning series teaches you how to program quantum computers on AWS. It includes two online courses focusing on domain knowledge, Braket features, and hands-on tutorials.
- Amazon Braket Getting Started course (60 min) includes an overview of the service and explains how you can use Braket to program quantum computers and explore potential applications.
- Quantum application development with Amazon Braket course (90 min) dives into advanced topics such as how to run quantum tasks, run quantum algorithms via Hybrid Jobs, and Braket Pulse.
Each Amazon Braket training course is designed to build on your previously learned knowledge and integrate into a quantum computing curriculum or complement existing quantum courses. By providing insights into Braket, the learning plan has three goals:
- Support experienced quantum instructors by providing supplementary material on Braket. Instructors can use the training material to enhance their current curriculum and classroom experiences with access to real quantum computers.
- Enable students to gain practical experience with Braket as part of their broader quantum computing learning. You can use the tailored Braket content either on its own or alongside other quantum courses.
- Enable customers learning Braket to start developing their own quantum applications faster, regardless of their expertise. The courses are designed to give both newcomers and experts alike, focused training on about Amazon Braket and its capabilities, ranging from introductory tools to build simple circuits to exploring more complex topics such as pulse-level control.
Earn your digital badge
There’s a lot to learn when it comes to quantum computing. AWS Skill Builder helps streamline the learning experience by hosting each of the quantum computing courses as on-demand modules accessible online at your convenience.
After completing each course, you can take the Amazon Braket Digital Badge Assessment, available online at no extra cost. The assessment will test your knowledge of AWS and Amazon Braket through a set of 50 questions. To pass, a score of 80% or higher is required. Successfully awarded badges will be available through Credly, allowing learners to attest they understand the fundamentals of quantum computing on Amazon Braket. Additionally, successful learners can show off their achievement with friends and colleagues on social channels, email, or embed them into their personal sites.
