2. 내 AWS 계정 중 어떤 계정이 영향을 받나요?

대한민국에 위치하는 것으로 확인된 계정 중에 특정
AWS 커뮤니케이션 관련 서비스를 구매한 계정입니다.
대한민국에 위치하는 것으로 확인된 계정이란,
법인 주소, 청구지 주소, 연락처 주소 또는 결제 방법 발행자 국가가 대한민국인 계정입니다.

3. AWS가 AMCS Korea를 새 서비스 리셀러로 런칭하는 이유는 무엇인가요?

AWS는 정기적으로 사업 구조를 검토하여 고객에게 최상의 서비스를 제공합니다. AWS는 AMCS Korea를 런칭하여 AWS 서비스 약관에 명시된 대로 한국에서 제공되는 특정 AWS 커뮤니케이션 관련 서비스를 판매할 예정입니다

4. AMCS Korea 런칭에 맞춰 준비할 사항이 있나요?

인보이스 발행이 제대로 진행되고 런칭과 관련한 알림이나 업데이트 소식을 받을 수 있도록 계정 세부 정보를 최신 상태로 유지해 주세요. 각 AWS 계정에 대해 다음 부분이 최신 상태인지 확인해 주세요.

아니요. 현재 Amazon Web Services, Amazon Web Services Korea LLC를 통해 제공되는 서비스에는 변경 사항이 없습니다. 귀하의 계정 번호, 내용, 구성, 액세스 권한 및 보안 설정은 그대로 유지됩니다.

 

청구, 결제 및 송금 질문

6. 어떤 인보이스 문서를 받게 되나요?

AMCS Korea는 AWS 서비스 약관에 명시된 대로 한국에서 제공되는 특정 AWS 커뮤니케이션 관련 서비스에 대해 결제 요청(RFP)을 발행하며 서비스의 판매와 인보이스 발행도 담당할 예정입니다. 귀하의 상용 RFP에 지급 계정의 청구지 주소가 반영됩니다.

또한 AMCS Korea에서는 인보이스를 통한 결제(PBI) 고객에 대해 VAT 인보이스를 생성할 예정입니다. PBI 고객인 경우 세금 설정 을 확인하여 모든 세부 정보가 정확한지 확인해 주세요. 조직의 일원이면 가능한 경우 세금 설정이 동일한 모든 계정에 대해 지급인 계정 내 세금 인보이스가 통합된다는 것을 알아두시기 바랍니다.

7. AMCS Korea에서는 어떤 결제 통화와 결제 방법을 지원하나요?

현재 결제 환경에는 변경 사항이 없습니다. 또한 AMCS Korea는 대한민국 은행에서 발급한 공동 브랜드(American Express, Visa, MasterCard, China Union Pay, Japan Credit Bureau) 신용 카드 및 인보이스를 통한 결제의 2가지 결제 방법만 허용됩니다. AMCS Korea와 거래하는 신용 카드 고객은 KRW로만 결제할 수 있습니다. 인보이스를 통한 결제 고객은 USD 또는 KRW로 결제할 수 있습니다. 서비스 요금은 계속 USD로 게시되며, 고객이 KRW를 기본 통화로 선택하는 경우 만기액이 USD로 계산된 후 청구를 위해 KRW로 환전됩니다.

 

8. 인보이스 약관에 따라 내 AWS 서비스를 결제하고 있습니다. 따로 수행해야 할 일이 있나요?

귀하의 회계(AP) 부서나 귀하의 계정에 대한 결제 책임자가 대한민국에 위치한 은행으로 AMCS Korea에 대한 결제금을 송금할 준비가 되어 있는지 확인해 주세요. 귀하의 AP 부서나 귀하가 이용하는 은행에 문의해서 귀하가 대한민국의 새 은행 계좌에 결제를 송금할 수 있는지 확인하거나 기존 구매 주문에 AMCS Korea에서 청구하는 사용이 포함되는지 확인해야 할 수도 있습니다.

또한 AWS Management Console의 세금 설정 페이지를 통해 세금 등록 번호(TRN) 및 세금 등록 증명서를 제공해야 합니다. 이러한 세금 세부 정보를 제공할 수 없는 경우 유효한 대한민국 공동 브랜드 신용 카드(American Express, Visa, MasterCard, China Union Pay, Japan Credit Bureau)를 제공해야 합니다.

9. 해외 은행이 발급한 신용 카드 또는 자동 이체로 내 AWS 서비스를 결제하고 있는데

10. AMCS Korea의 송금 세부 정보는 어떻게 되나요?

고객 서비스에 문의하여 2023년 11월 1일에 AMCS Korea런칭 이후 생성된 인보이스에 사용할 송금 지침을 받으시기 바랍니다.

11. 다른 SOR에서 오는 인보이스를 잘못된 은행 계좌로 결제하지 않고 어떻게 처리하나요?

AMCS Korea 고객은 올해 말부터 RFP를 받기 시작할 예정입니다. 이러한 인보이스 결제금을 한국에서 개설한 새 HSBC 은행 계좌로 송금해야 합니다. Amazon Web
Services, Inc. 및/또는 Amazon Web
Services Korea LLC의 기존 및 신규 인보이스와 RFP를 현재 사용 중인 기존 계좌로 계속 결제할 수 있습니다.

 

12. 잘못된 은행 계좌로 인보이스를 결제한 경우 어떻게 되나요?

잘못된 은행 계좌로 결제했다고 생각되면 고객 서비스에 문의하세요. AWS 팀이 내부적으로 고객이 잘못된 은행 계좌로 결제했는지 사전에 확인한 후, 적절한 해결 조치를 취하게 됩니다.

세금 질문

13. 세금 설정 페이지는 누가 업데이트해야 하나요?

세금 등록 번호(TRN)가 있는 모든 고객은 T-30 커뮤니케이션 이메일에서 별도의 지침을 받도록 특별히 안내하지 않는 한 세금 설정 페이지의 모든 섹션에 있는 한국어로 된 데이터를 업데이트/추가하고 TRN이 세금 등록 증명서와 일치하는지 확인하고 세금 등록 증명서를 업로드하는 것이 좋습니다. 10자리 사업자 등록 번호를 XXX-XX-XXXXX(접두어 'KR' 제외) 형식으로 추가해야 합니다. 인보이스를 통한 결제 방식을 선택한 고객이거나 한국에 사업자등록을 하신 고객의 경우, 세금계산서를 받으려면 세금 설정 페이지를 작성해야 합니다.

통합 결제 고객 및 리셀러 질문

15. 내 계정은 조직(통합 결제 패밀리)의 관리(지급인) 계정입니다. 모든 내 멤버 계정(연결된 계정)의 주소 및 연계된 AWS 판매자 주체가 올바른지 어떻게 확인하나요?

마스터 계정(Payer account) 소유자는 AWS Management Console의 세금 설정 (Tax
settings) 페이지에서 각 개별 계정의 세금 주소 및 AWS 판매자를 확인할 수 있습니다. 귀하가 마스터 계정(Payer account) 소유자인 경우, 관련된 멤버 계정 (Linked account) 중 대한민국 계정 또는 대한민국의 사업자 등록번호를 사용 가능한 해외 국가의 계정의 세금 정보를 귀하의 세금 정보로 대체할 수 있습니다. 가장 오른쪽 열에는 내역의 각 계정의 AWS 판매자(예: Amazon Web Services, Inc., AWS EMEA SARL, Amazon Web Services Korea LLC 또는 AMCS Korea) 가 표시됩니다. 계정의 세금 설정을 변경하는 경우, 변경 내용에 따라 AWS 판매자가 수정되는 데 최대 24시간이 걸릴 수 있습니다. Payer account의 모든 계정이 동일한 사업자 등록번호를 공유하는 경우 세금 설정 상속(Tax settings inheritance) 활성화를 사용하면 마스터 계정(Payer account)의 세금 정보가 멤버 계정(Linked account)에 동일하게 반영됩니다.

16. 내 계정은 조직(통합 결제 패밀리)의 관리(지급인) 계정이며 여러 국가의 멤버 계정(연결된 계정)을 보유하고 있습니다. 어떻게 되나요?

AWS는 계정의 계정 위치를 기준으로 각 개별 계정에 대한 내역에 적합한 AWS 판매자를 결정합니다. 서로 다른 판매자의 서비스를 받는 멤버 계정(연결된 계정)을 보유하고 있는 경우 각 계정의 위치에 따라 다른 내역의 해당 판매자로부터 별도의 상용 인보이스 또는 결제 요청(RFP)을 받습니다. 기본적으로 해외의 연결된 계정에 대한 인보이스 또는 RFP에 대해서는 별도로 USD로 결제금을 송금하도록 설정됩니다.

등록 판매자별로 인보이스 또는 RFP에 대한 고유한 송금 지침이 있습니다. 해당 등록 판매자에게 해당 인보이스에 표시된 통화로 결제금을 송금해야 합니다.

17. AWS 파트너/솔루션 공급자입니다. AMCS Korea는 내게 어떤 영향을 주나요?

변경 사항이 없습니다. AWS 파트너/솔루션 공급자인 경우 AWS 파트너 네트워크에 대한 참여를 관리하는 AWS 서비스 및 약관에 대한 귀하의 계약이 계속해서 Amazon Web Services Korea LLC를 계약 당사자로 반영합니다.

귀하의 모든 연결 계정(Linked account)에 귀하의 세금 설정(Tax settings)을 적용해 주세요. AWS Management Console의 세금 설정 (Tax settings) 페이지에서 세금 설정 상속 (Tax settings inheritance) 활성화를 선택하여 귀하의 세금 세부 정보가 귀하의 모든 연결 계정(Linked account)에 반영되도록 해주세요. 귀하의 세금 정보를 모든 연결 계정(Linked account)에 반영해주시면 AWS에서 부가가치세를 정확하게 계산할 수 있습니다. 귀하는 AWS 파트너/솔루션 공급 로서, 귀하의 최종 고객(End customer)에게 관련 세금을 적절히 부과하고 관리하여야 합니다.

계정과 관련하여 궁금한 점이 있으면 파트너 개발 관리자(PDM)에게 직접 문의하시기 바랍니다. APN 파트너 센트럴에 로그인하면 PDM 연락처 세부 정보를 찾을 수 있습니다.

18. 엔터프라이즈 고객입니다. AMCS Korea는 내게 어떤 영향을 주나요?

변경 사항이 없습니다. 계정과 관련하여 궁금한 점이 있으면 계정 관리자에게 직접 문의하시기 바랍니다. 계정 팀의 누구에게 문의해야 할지 모르면 영업 팀 문의 양식을 사용하세요.

19. 연결된 계정이 있는 경우 결제 콘솔에서 내 사용 세부 정보를 KRW로 볼 수 있나요?

결제 콘솔에서 KRW로 표시된 청구 세부 정보는 지급인 계정 수준에서만 표시됩니다. 연결된 계정에는 계속해서 사용 세부 정보가 USD로만 표시됩니다.

환율 질문

20. AWS는 서비스 가격을 어떻게 책정하나요?

AWS는 서비스 가격을 USD로 책정하고 인보이스 생성 시 결정된 FX(외환) 환율에 따라 USD 가격을 현지 통화로 변환합니다.

21. 한국 원화(KRW)로 결제하려면 어떻게 해야 하나요?

기존 인보이스를 통한 결제(PBI) 및 신용 카드 결제 고객은 기본 통화가 이미 'KRW'로 설정되어 있는 경우 별도의 조치를 취하지 않아도 됩니다. 기본 통화를 USD로 설정한 기존 고객이 'KRW'로 결제하려면 내 계정 페이지로 이동하여 결제 통화 기본 설정을 'KRW'로 변경해야 합니다. 또는 AMCS Korea와 거래하는 모든 고객은 내 계정 페이지로 이동하여 결제 통화 기본 설정을 'KRW'로 변경할 수 있습니다.

22. AWS는 FX 환율을 어떻게 계산하나요?

AWS는 인보이스가 생성된 날에 FX 환율을 결정합니다. 환율은 주요 금융 기관이 발표하는 시장 환율에 맞춰 조정되며 시장 변동에 따라 달라질 수 있습니다.

23. 고객은 AWS에서 사용하는 FX 환율을 어디에서 볼 수 있나요?

AWS 인보이스에는 변환에 사용된 USD 금액, 현지 통화 금액 및 FX 환율이 표시됩니다. 고객은 AWS 계정에서 인보이스를 찾을 수 있습니다.

24. FX 환율 계산에 추가 규정이 포함되나요?

일부 통화의 경우 규제 요건과 같은 현지 요인에 따라 추가 규정이 적용될 수 있습니다.

25. AWS에서 고객에게 FX 환율 변동을 미리 알려줄 수 있나요?

아니요. FX 환율은 인보이스가 생성된 날에 결정됩니다. AWS는 통화 변동으로 인한 USD 외 가격의 변동을 미리 예측하고 전달할 수 없습니다.

26. 고객이 요청할 경우 AWS에서 FX 환율 계산을 사용자 지정할 수 있나요?

AWS는 특정 통화로 결제하는 고객에 대해 동일한 FX 환율 계산을 사용합니다.

27. AWS에서 FX 환율을 할인해 주나요?

AWS는 FX 환율을 할인 방식으로 사용하지 않습니다. 할인 관련 질의는 AWS 영업 담당자에게 문의하시기 바랍니다.

28. 내 AWS Marketplace 서비스는 어떻게 되나요?

AWS Marketplace를 통해 구매한 제품 및 서비스에는 변경 사항이 없습니다. 이러한 제품 및 서비스는 계속 Amazon Web Services, Inc.에서 USD로 인보이스를 발행합니다. Amazon Web Services, Inc. 은행 계좌로 모든 AWS Marketplace 구매에 대해 Amazon Web Services, Inc.에서 발생되는 인보이스를 USD로 결제하는 시스템 및 프로세스를 유지해야 합니다.

29. 내 AWS 교육 및 AWS Professional Services는 어떻게 되나요?

변경 사항이 없습니다. 고객은 지금처럼 계속 AWS 교육 및 AWS Professional Services를 구매하고 Amazon Web Services Korea LLC로부터 RFP 및 VAT 인보이스를 수령합니다.

30. 내 기존 RI/절감형 플랜은 어떻게 되나요?

변경 사항이 없습니다. 모든 RI(예약형 인스턴스) 또는 SP(절감형 플랜)는 구매 이후 귀하의 AWS 서비스 공급업체 변경에 상관없이 계속 해당되는 모든 적격 사용에 적용됩니다. RI 또는 SP에 대한 모든 시간당 기본 요금은 RI/SP에 따라 해당 사용이 적용되는 계정에 대해 AWS 판매자가 청구합니다. RI 또는 SP가 어떤 사용에도 해당되지 않는 경우 이러한 요금은 RI/SP를 처음으로 구매한 계정에 대해 AWS 판매자가 청구합니다.

인보이스를 통한 결제와 USD 결제를 선택한 경우 AMCS Korea에서는 세금계산서 발행을 위하여 대한민국 부가가치세법에서 규정하는 환율을 사용하여 달러 금액을 원화로 환산할 것입니다. 세금계산서는 대한민국 KRW으로 표기되며, 지급요청서(RFP)는 USD로 표기됩니다.

34. 결제 대행업체로부터 성공적으로 결제된 인보이스에 대한 신용 카드 전표를 받지 못하면 어떻게 해야 하나요?

AMCS Korea의 결제대행업체인 NHN Korea Cyber Payments(KCP)에 (+82)
02-1544-8667로 문의하실 수 있습니다. 고객 서비스 팀은 영업일 오전 9시에서 오후 6시(KST) 사이에 이용하실 수 있습니다. 결제일, 결제 금액, 카드의 마지막 4자리 및 8자리 발급사 승인 코드를 포함한 거래 세부 정보를 제공해야 합니다. 각 거래에 대한 승인 코드는 카드 발급사의 웹 포털 또는 모바일 애플리케이션에서 찾을 수 있습니다. 신용 카드 전표를 받기 위해 선택한 이메일 주소를 KCP에 제공할 수 있습니다. 단, 길이가 60자 미만이어야 합니다. AWS Console의 결제 방법 페이지에서 기본 결제 방법 대해 편집을 클릭하여 신용 카드 전표를 수신할 이메일을 업데이트할 수도 있습니다.

35. RFP의 총 금액이 세금계산서 [KB1] 및 Supplementary Billing Information의 [KB2] 총액과 일치하지 않습니다. 어떻게 해야 하나요?

36. AMCS Korea는 어떤 서비스를 제공하나요?

2023년 11월 1일에, 한국에서 제공되는 특정 AWS 커뮤니케이션 관련 서비스(AWS Cloud WAN, AWS Ground Station, Amazon Connect, Amazon Chime 및 Amazon Chime SDK의 PSTN 기능)는 AMCS KR에서 판매하고 인보이스를 발행할 예정입니다. General Questions

1. What is AMCS Korea and when will it launch?

As of November 01, 2023, AMCS Korea LLC has replaced Amazon Web Services Korea LLC as a Seller of Record of certain AWS communications-related Services for accounts located in Korea and will issue invoices for those services.

2. Which of my AWS accounts are affected?

Accounts that purchase certain AWS communications-related Services determined to be located in South Korea. These are accounts with legal business address, billing address, contact address or payment method issuer country to be in South Korea.

3. Why is AWS launching AMCS Korea as a new service reseller?

AWS regularly reviews business structures to best serve customers. AWS will launch AMCS Korea to sell certain AWS communications-related Services provided in Korea as specified in the AWS Service Terms.

4. What can I do to prepare for the launch of AMCS Korea

Please make sure that your account details are up to date to ensure proper invoicing and to receive any notifications or updates regarding the launch. Please check that the following areas are all up-to-date for each of your AWS
accounts:

1. Tax Settings

2. Default Payment Method

3. Alternate Contacts

Ensure that your Accounts Payable (AP) department or responsible party for making payments for your accounts is aware of this launch, and is ready to make payment to AMCS Korea. This includes updating records in billing systems, opening purchase orders, or verifying that your bank can remit payment in South Korean Won (KRW) or US Dollar (USD) to a South Korean bank account.

If you designate a third party, such as an affiliate company in your corporate group, outside of South Korea to make payments to AMCS Korea on your behalf (e.g., through a payer account located outside of South Korea), you may have bank reporting obligations within South Korea. Please consult your financial or legal advisors.

5. Will my access to AWS services change? Will I experience service down time?

No, there will be no change in the services currently offered through Amazon Web Services, Inc., Amazon Web Services Korea LLC. Your account number, content, configurations, access rights, and security settings will remain the same.

Billing, Payment, and Remittance Questions

6. What invoicing documents should I expect?

AMCS Korea will issue a Request-For-Payment (RFP) for certain AWS communications-related services provided in Korea as specified in the AWS Service Terms which will be sold and invoiced by AMCS Korea. Your commercial RFP will reflect the paying account’s billing address.

AMCS Korea will also generate VAT invoices for all pay by invoice (PBI) customers. If you are a PBI customer, please check your Tax Settings to ensure that all details are correct. If you are a part of an Organization, please note that tax invoices within a payer account will be consolidated, when possible, for all accounts with the same Tax Settings.

7. What payment currencies and payment methods are supported by AMCS Korea?

There is no change to the current payment experience. AMCS Korea will also accept only co-branded (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, China Union Pay, and Japan Credit Bureau) credit cards issued by a South Korean bank and pay by
invoice payment methods. Credit card customers transacting with AMCS Korea can only pay in KRW. Pay by Invoice Customers will be able to pay in USD or KRW. Service pricing will continue to be published in USD, and amounts due will be
computed in USD and converted to KRW for billing, if a customer chooses KRW as its preferred currency.

8. I pay for my AWS services on invoicing terms. Is there anything I need to do?

Please make sure that you and your Accounts Payable (AP) department or the person responsible for making payments for your accounts are prepared to remit payment to AMCS Korea to a bank located in South Korea. You may need to check
with your AP department or your bank to ensure you can remit payment to a new bank account in South Korea, or to verify that any existing purchase order will cover usage billed by AMCS Korea.

You will also need to provide a Tax Registration Number (TRN) and Tax Registration Certificate via the Tax Settings page of the AWS Management Console. If you are unable to provide these tax details, you will need to provide a valid South Korea co-branded credit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, China Union Pay, and Japan Credit Bureau).

9. I pay for my AWS services by non-South Korean bank issued credit card or direct debit, and I want to transact with AMCS Korea. How can I do that?

AMCS Korea will not accept payment by direct debit or credit cards issued by a bank outside of South Korea. If you are paying with one of these payment methods, please switch to a co-branded (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, China Union Pay, and Japan Credit Bureau) issued by a South Korean bank or switch to the invoicing payment method. If you are interested in switching to the invoicing payment method to transact with AMCS Korea, please open a support case to determine your eligibility.

10. What are the remittance details for AMCS Korea?

11. How do I handle invoices coming from different SORs without paying to the wrong bank account?

Customers of AMCS Korea will start receiving RFPs later this year. These invoice payments need to be remitted to the new HSBC bank accounts opened in South Korea. You will continue to pay any existing and new invoices and RFPs from Amazon Web Services, Inc. and/or Amazon Web Services Korea LLC to the existing accounts being used today.

12. What happens if I paid for an invoice to the wrong bank account?

Please reach out to customer service if you feel you have paid to the wrong bank account. Internally, our teams proactively check if a customer has paid to a wrong bank account and also take appropriate remediation steps.

Tax Questions

13. Who should be updating their Tax Settings Page?

We encourage all customers that have a Tax Registration Number (TRN) to update/add data to all the sections in the Tax Settings Page in Korean Language and make sure it matches their Tax Registration Certificate, and upload the tax registration certificate unless you specifically guided to receive a separate instruction from T-30 communication email. The 10-digit Tax Registration Number should be added in the following format XXX-XX-XXXXX (without the prefix ‘KR’). If you are a Pay-By-Invoice customer or a customer with a registered business in Korea that purchases AWS services, you are required to fill out the Tax Settings Page in order to receive the VAT invoices.

Consolidated Billing Customers and Reseller Questions

15. My account is the management (payer) account for an Organization (consolidated billing family). How do I check that all my member (linked) accounts have the correct address and associated AWS seller entity?

Management (payer) account owners can see the Tax Address and AWS seller of record associated with each account by visiting the Tax Settings page in the AWS Management Console. If you are the owner of a management (payer) account for an Organization, you can override the Tax Settings for all member (linked) accounts based in South Korea or any other country where we accept a Tax Registration Number (TRN) with your own Tax information. The far-right column will indicate each account’s seller of record (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Inc., AWS EMEA SARL, Amazon Web Services Korea LLC or AMCS Korea). If you change an account’s Tax Settings, it may take up to 24 hours for the seller of record to be updated accordingly. If all accounts in your Organization share the same TRN, please consider enabling Tax Settings Inheritance.

16. My account is the management (payer) account for an Organization (consolidated billing family) and I have member (linked) accounts based in different countries, what should I expect?

AWS will determine the appropriate AWS seller of record for each individual account based on the account’s account location. If you have member (linked) accounts being served by different sellers, you will receive separate commercial invoices or Requests for Payment (RFPs) from the applicable seller of record based on each account’s location. Please note that you will be set by default to remit payment separately for invoices or RFPs for your linked accounts outside of South Korea in USD. Each seller of record will have its own remittance instructions on the invoice or RFP. Payment must be remitted in the currency displayed on the applicable invoice to the applicable seller of record.

17. I am an AWS Partner/Solution Provider. How does AMCS Korea impact me?

There is no change. As an AWS Partner/Solution Provider, your agreements for AWS services and terms that govern your participation in the AWS Partner Network will be continue to reflect Amazon Web Services Korea LLC as the contracting party.

Please continue to follow the longstanding operational guidance to apply your own Tax Settings to all of your linked accounts. You should enable Tax Settings Inheritance on the Tax Settings page in the AWS Management Console to ensure that your tax details are used for all of your linked accounts. By ensuring your own information is on all linked accounts, AWS can calculate VAT correctly, if applicable. As an AWS Partner/Solution Provider, you are responsible for managing and charging your end customers applicable taxes.

18. I am an Enterprise customer. How does AMCS Korea impact me?

19. If I have a linked account, can I see my usage details in KRW in the
Billing Console?

In the Billing Console, billing details in KRW is only shown at the payer account level. Linked accounts will continue to see their usage details in USD only.

Exchange Rate Questions

20. How does AWS price its services?

AWS prices its services in USD, and converts USD prices to local currencies based on foreign exchange (FX) rates determined when the invoice is generated.

21. How can I choose to pay in South Korean Won (KRW)?

Existing Pay by Invoice (PBI) and Credit Card customers do not have to take any action if their default preferred currency is already set to ‘KRW'. Existing customers that have their preferred currency set as USD will need to go to My Account
page and change their Payment Currency Preference to ‘KRW’ if you prefer to pay in ‘KRW'. Alternatively, any customer transacting with AMCS Korea can go to My Account page and change their Payment Currency Preference to ‘KRW'.

22. How does AWS calculate the FX rates?

AWS determines the FX rates on the day the invoice is generated. FX rates are aligned with market rates published by leading financial institutions and are subject to market fluctuations.

23. Where can the customers see the FX rate used by AWS?

AWS invoices will display the USD amount, local currency amount and the FX rate used for the conversion. Customers can find their invoices in their AWS accounts.

24. Does the FX rate calculation involve any additional rules?

For some currencies, additional rules may apply depending on local factors, such as regulatory requirements.

25. Can AWS notify customers about the FX rate change in advance?

No. FX rates are determined on the day the invoice is generated. AWS cannot predict and communicate in advance the changes in non-USD prices due to currency fluctuations.

26. Can AWS customize the FX rate calculation if customers request?

AWS uses the same FX rate calculation for customers paying in a given currency.

27. Does AWS offer any discounts on FX rates?

AWS does not use FX rates as a discounting mechanism. For discounting related inquiries, customers can reach out to their AWS Sales representative.

Additional Questions

28. What happens to my AWS Marketplace services?

There are no changes to the products and services you purchase through the AWS Marketplace. These products and services will continue to be invoiced by Amazon Web Services, Inc. in USD. You will need to maintain your systems and processes to pay invoices from Amazon Web Services, Inc. in USD for all AWS Marketplace purchases to the Amazon Web Services, Inc. bank account.

29. What happens to my AWS Training and AWS Professional Services?

There are no changes. Customers will continue to purchase AWS Training and AWS Professional Services, receive RFPs and VAT invoices from Amazon Web Services Korea LLC as they do today.

30. What happens with my existing RIs/Savings Plans?

There are no changes. Any Reserved Instance (RIs) or Savings Plans (SPs) will continue to apply towards any eligible matching usage, regardless of any change in your AWS service provider since purchase. Any recurring hourly charges for an RI or SP will be billed by the AWS seller for the account whose usage is covered by the RI/SP. If the RI or SP does not match any usage, it will be billed by the AWS seller for the account that originally purchased the
RI/SP.

32. How many times can a customer make changes to their preferred currency settings?

There is no cap to the number of times customers can change their preferred currency settings.

33. If I am a Pay by Invoice customer and choose to pay in USD, how will my VAT invoices be generated?

If you Pay by Invoice and elect to pay in USD, AMCS Korea will use the exchange rates mandated under the Korea VAT Law to convert USD charges into KRW solely for purposes of VAT invoice generation. VAT invoice will be generated in Korean Won, while the Request for Payment (RFP) will be generated in USD.

34. What should I do if I not receive a credit card slip from the payment
processor for a successfully paid invoice?

You can reach out to NHN Korea Cyber Payments (KCP), the payment processor for AMCS Korea, at +82-2- 1544-8667. Their customer service team is accessible during business days between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM KST. You will be required to
provide transaction details, including payment date, payment amount, the last 4-digits of your card and 8-digit issuer authorization code. You can find the authorization code on your card issuer’s web-portal or mobile application for
each transaction. You will be able to provide KCP an email address of your choice to receive the credit card slip, as long as it is less than 60 characters in length. You can also update your email for receiving credit card slips on the Payment Methods page of the AWS console by clicking edit against your default payment method.

35. I find the total amount in RFP does not match to total amount in VAT invoice and Supplementary Billing Information. What should I do?

Please make the payment against the VAT invoice and Supplementary Billing Information. We are aware of the error in RFP and are in the process of resolving the issue.

36. What services will be offered from AMCS Korea?

On November 01, 2023, certain AWS communications-related Services provided in Korea (AWS Cloud WAN, AWS Ground Station, and PSTN features of Amazon Connect, Amazon Chime, and Amazon Chime SDK) will be sold and invoiced by AMCS KR.

Non-Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) features of Amazon Connect, Amazon Chime and Amazon Chime SDK will continue to be invoiced by AWS Korea. This means, if you purchase those services, you will receive two invoices: oPSTN-related features and another from AWS Korea for Non-PSTN features.

Finally, the AmazonChimeVoiceConnector, AmazonChimeBusinessCalling, AmazonChimeDialInAMCS, AmazonChimeCallMeAMCS, and ContactCenterTelecomm will continue to be sold by AMCS LLC and invoiced by AWS Inc.
