Q: Why did you create the AWS Media Services Compatibility Program?
A: The AWS Media Services Compatibility Program is designed to enable customers to choose from a wide variety of Technology Partner products and services that have verified as compatible with AWS Media Services in a known configuration.
Q: I do not see a product I use listed. Does that mean it will not be compatible?
A: Participation in the AWS Media Services Compatibility Program is voluntary and the product you are using may be compatible with AWS Media Services. Please reach out to your product contact directly for more information.
Q: If I use a product listed but in a different version or configuration, will it still be compatible with the AWS Media Services?
A: Compatibility testing is not a guarantee of performance for the listed versions or configurations, and only the specific product versions and configurations listed have been tested as compatible with the AWS Media Services. Please reach out to your product contact directly for more information.
Q: Is there a cost to participate in the AWS Media Services Compatibility Program?
Q: Is an agreement required to participate?
A: Yes. Partners must join the AWS Elemental Technology Partner Program (ETP) as a “Compatibility” tier partner, have a valid Non-Disclosure Agreement, and an AWS Marketing Authorization Form on file.
Q: How will information about partners’ compatible products be made publicly available?
A: Products verified to be compatible are listed on a public-facing web page on the AWS site.
Q: Is there a badge or icon my company may use to identify products that have successfully completed compatibility testing?
A: Yes. We provide an AWS Media Services Compatibility Program logo which may be used with products that have successfully completed compatibility testing within the past year.
Q: Which of the AWS Media Services are included in the AWS Media Services Compatibility Program?
A: Currently, AWS Elemental MediaLive is available to test. Other AWS Media Services will be added in the future.
Q: What configuration should I test?
A: Technology partners may select parameters that their customers will find the most valuable.
Q: How often do Technology Partner’s products need to be verified compatible?
A: To keep the results current and meaningful for our customers, we are requiring annual compatibility testing of products to remain on the list. Technology Partners may wish to verify compatibility and update the documentation on a more frequent basis.
