AWS Systems Manager Quick Setup now supports targeting a resource group
AWS Systems Manager Quick Setup now enables you to target your setup to a specific resource group in an AWS account. Now, with a single click you can enable operational actions, such as patch compliance scanning and instance inventory collection, on a logical grouping of resources such as an application or environment.
Quick Setup automates your instance permission setup for AWS Systems Manager and keeps your SSM Agents up to date. Quick Setup also enables scanning for patches and collecting software inventory, providing visibility into the security and compliance of your instances. From Quick Setup, you can also install, configure, and schedule updates for the Amazon CloudWatch agent to provide enhanced monitoring for your instances.
To get started, choose Quick Setup from the AWS Systems Manager left navigation menu. Quick Setup is available in all AWS GovCloud (US-East), AWS GovCloud (US-West) and commercial Regions.
