Amazon MQ Now Supports Amazon CloudWatch Logs

Posted on: Jul 31, 2018

You can now monitor and troubleshoot your Amazon MQ message brokers in near-real time by publishing logs from your Amazon MQ brokers to Amazon CloudWatch Logs.

Amazon MQ is a managed message broker service for Apache ActiveMQ that makes it easy to set up and operate message brokers in the cloud. Amazon CloudWatch Logs allows you to monitor, store, and access your log files from a range of AWS services, and from your own applications.

With this new feature, Amazon MQ supports publishing of both the general log and audit log to CloudWatch Logs, allowing you to maintain continuous visibility into your Amazon MQ broker activity. For example, you can set up CloudWatch alarms to notify you of broker reboots, or troubleshoot configuration errors. To get started with publishing logs from Amazon MQ to CloudWatch Logs, visit the Amazon MQ management console or download the latest AWS SDK or CLI.
