Amazon WorkDocs Drive now supports offline content and offline search

Starting today, you can use WorkDocs Drive offline capabilities to access content even when you are not connected to the network. In addition you and your users can also find the content you need in both online and offline modes with Smart Search. WorkDocs Smart Search lets you query across content, comments, and document labels in addition to searching for files by name.

To get started, bring up the WorkDocs Drive application user interface by clicking on the WorkDocs Drive icon, and click on the Gear icon. If you are using Windows it is in the system tray, if you are using Mac it is on the top menu bar. Select Work Offline to open a dialog box to configure offline access. Amazon WorkDocs Drive will automatically download the latest version of the file to your computer. Any changes you make are automatically updated in Amazon WorkDocs when you are back online.

To search offline files bring up WorkDocs Drive application user interface and enter the desired search term in the search box in the top navigation bar. Hitting 'Enter' will automatically search all content to which you have access and results will display list of files. Files in the search results will have corresponding owner, last modified date and file size attributes information displayed.
