We’ve updated the Amazon Elastic File system (Amazon EFS) console to make it even easier for you to create and manage your file system resources. In addition to a refreshed look and feel, you can now create a file system using the recommended settings in just a few clicks, you can customize your view to quickly find information you’re looking for, and you can monitor your file system’s behavior using Amazon CloudWatch metrics and alarms natively in the EFS console.
For monitoring, any CloudWatch alarms you have configured for your EFS file system metrics will be displayed in the EFS console. The console now includes a dashboard that uses CloudWatch Metric Math to display throughput and IOPS utilization along with other EFS metrics, enabling you to understand your file system’s behavior against its limits and take action if required.
The updated Amazon EFS console is available in all AWS regions except AWS Europe (Milan), AWS Africa (Cape Town), AWS GovCloud and AWS China regions. You can learn more by reading our blog on the new EFS console, the EFS documentation, or log into the Amazon EFS console to get started.
