Overview
Through its electric vehicle brand AFEELA, Sony Honda Mobility aims to lead in innovation of the mobility industry. Their flagship vehicle AFEELA 1, uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing technology to provide real time connectivity and enhanced driving experiences. This technology enables advanced features like predictive maintenance, personalized driver assistance and software updates in the cloud.
AWS Summit Japan 2025: AFEELA 1 Exhibition and Special Session Presentation
Sony Honda Mobility is developing AFEELA 1, an innovative electric vehicle launching in 2026. The vehicle features continuous connectivity between its onboard systems and the cloud platform built on AWS. Their flagship technology "AFEELA Intelligent Drive" is an advanced driver assistance system that leverages cloud computing for enhanced performance AWS cloud services will support the entire aftersales service chain, enabling direct customer engagement and support.
AFEELA Prototype Exhibition 2024
In September 2024, Sony Honda Mobility partnered with AWS to showcase the AFEELA car prototype at Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle. At the Day 1 Playfield, Amazon employees and local residents experienced live demonstrations of AFEELA’s innovative mobility technology.

Sony Honda Mobility (SHM) partners with AWS and Qualcomm Technologies, to accelerate SHM’s ADAS development capabilities for AFEELA, the new electric vehicle launching in 2026. This next-generation smart vehicle combines AI-powered autonomous capabilities with intelligent entertainment systems.
