With AWS, Mercado Livre becomes the first company in Latin America to run industrial automation workloads on AWS Outposts
Mercado Livre, the largest e-commerce ecosystem in Latin America, has more than 100 million active users who buy and sell products through its platform. With the challenge of automating latency-sensitive applications in its distribution centers, it uses AWS Outposts to perform industrial automation in the cloud.
In this video, Anderson Porfirio - a System Expert from Mercado Livre, reveals that the company works under the guideline of using the cloud as its first option for running industrial workloads. The specialist says that the company uses AWS Outposts for applications such as the sorter (belt), automation, and robots within operations that needed local infrastructure. Porfirio also outlines the next phase of adopting AWS Outposts Rack and AWS Outposts Servers within distribution centers.

Availability and SLA are extremely critical for Mercado Livre, and that's why we chose AWS services.”
