For startups, this represents an opportunity to change the trajectory of education through the thoughtful and equitable use of data and artificial intelligence to power solutions and solve some of education’s greatest challenges.
The AWS Education Accelerator is a new 10-week immersive program open to education startups globally. The program covers impactful trends, best practices, and tools and services to accelerate your growth in the United States. The inaugural cohort of startups will focus on companies whose technology solutions use data in equitable ways to accelerate innovation, drive decision-making and improve educational outcomes.

The AWS Education Accelerator is designed for global founders who are the CEO and/or CTO of an innovative EdTech startup, founded in the last 10 years. The program targets startups with a fully-developed MVP or launched product. We welcome startups in the early stages of exploring go-to-market opportunities, and also startups with existing education customers. The AWS Education Accelerator is open to startups globally, excluding startups located in China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia or Syria. While the program is open to startups from around the world, programming will be offered in English only.
The AWS Education Accelerator is a hybrid program. The program kick-off during the first week will be an in-person event, while the remaining weeks and EdTech Demo Day will be virtual. The program kick-off will be hosted at Amazon’s Seattle HQ, where participants will hear from Amazon leaders, set goals for the accelerator with their AWS mentors, and network with their accelerator cohort. The following weeks, participants will convene virtually for a variety of curated learning topics, along with weekly mentor check-ins and one-on-one expert guidance discussions. The program will culminate with a virtual EdTech Demo Day for participating startups to showcase their solutions to education customers. The demo day will be hosted in collaboration with OMNIA Partners, an experienced cooperative purchasing organization dedicated to public sector procurement with over 86,000 K12, higher education, and government participants nationwide. Please note to the extent the program includes any in-person trainings, workshops, or other events, you must attend and arrange and pay for your own travel and accommodations.
