This session brings together Malaysian startups, digital platforms, and solution providers to analyze how emerging technologies such as AI have allowed Malaysia’s digital economy to achieve a 19% y-o-y expansion in 2025 – outpacing peers like Indonesia, Vietnam, and Singapore. This growth has created new opportunities for Malaysian startups to capture in 2026, provided they actively adopt the best tools to stay competitive.
Adopting best-in-class digital solutions, particularly AI and cloud technologies, enables businesses to streamline operations, reduce costs, and unlock predictive insights. The Malaysian government is strongly supporting this transition in 2026. Beyond the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry’s additional RM200 million allocation to the Strategic Co-Investment Fund (CoSIF) for SMEs in the Johor-Singapore SEZ, businesses can also leverage the Geran Digital PMKS Madani (offering 50% matching grants for digital services) and MDEC’s Digital Incentives to offset the costs of adopting cloud-based AI and automation tools.
Held in partnership with AWS, this event seeks to illuminate best practices in AI technology adoption to make operations more effective and efficient. During the program, AWS will share:
- How AI and cloud adoption are helping startups streamline operations, reduce costs, and unlock new growth opportunities;
- An overview of Malaysia’s evolving AI and data governance landscape, including what upcoming AI-related policies could mean for startups in practical terms; and
- Compliance considerations and best practices that can help businesses stay ahead as regulations continue to develop.
Ms. Nuraizah, CEO and Founder, MADCash, will also share how a homegrown Malaysian fintech is using cloud and AI to scale, and tips on accessing government financing in today’s market.
Participants will also have the chance to network with fellow startups, digital solution providers, and ecosystem enablers to spark partnerships, pilot projects, and discuss go‑to‑market collaborations. The session is designed as a practical, business-first conversation where Malaysian startup leaders will leave with specific ideas, contacts, and next steps for their 2026 digital roadmap.
