Nitro Commerce helps boost ad performance and customer insights with AI
India’s consumer market is experiencing rapid growth, leading to rising acquisition costs and slowed organic growth. Nitro Commerce is helping its customers solve these challenges through a suite of cutting-edge acquisition and retention products.
By measuring user intent, Nitro Commerce is able to make actionable recommendations that drive marketing intelligence, and in turn, greater return on ad spend (ROAS). This is “the biggest USP we provide to the customers,” says Shamail Tayyab, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Nitro Commerce.
While traditional advertising models do provide a return, Tayyab explains: “We have had clients that have given us 12x ROAS on the same kind of campaigns.” Delivering this ROAS requires much more precise and sophisticated audience targeting.
To enable this, Nitro Commerce uses an extensive range of AWS services, including Amazon SageMaker for custom foundation model deployment, as well as Amazon Personalize and Amazon Bedrock for curating and segmenting user behavior.
Nitro Commerce’s platform is built on a cluster of compute machines on an Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) stack. The startup is able to do this at “a very low cost” by using Amazon EC2 Spot Instances—unused EC2 capacity in the AWS Cloud available at up to a 90 percent discount compared to on-demand prices. Tayyab says: “We have engineered a way where we are running almost entire workloads on Spot machines, on an Elastic Kubernetes stack.”
