Glenn-Gore-circular

As the Chief Architect for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Glenn Gore is responsible for creating architectural best practices and working with customers on how they use the cloud and innovation to transform their own businesses or disrupt new markets. Mr. Gore has worked in engineering, R&D, and technology leadership roles with customers such as Facebook, Twitter, and NASA, and worked on projects such as the Hadron super collider, interplanetary networking, and large-scale distributed systems.

Prior to joining AWS, Mr. Gore was the CTO of Webcentral where he worked on highly scalable web platforms and big-data systems for customers. He also held roles at OzEmail and UUNET, the world’s largest network provider.

Brad-Coughlan-rounded

Brad was recently appointed Country Manager for the Australia and New Zealand public sector business and has 30+ years experience in Information & Communications Technology (ICT) and related industries. He has worked extensively in both the private and public sectors, holding titles as diverse as CIO to corporate strategist to sales manager, and other positions in and around ICT.

Brad spent 11 years with Microsoft, before joining AWS in 2013 as their public sector lead for Victoria & Tasmania. At AWS, Brad has been at the helm of AWS business development for government for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), the APJ-wide strategic business expansion initiative.

Dr. Denis Bauer leads the transformational bioinformatics team at Australia’s research agency, CSIRO. She has a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Queensland and held post-doctoral appointments in Biological Machine Learning at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience and high-throughput genetics at the Queensland Brain institute.

Dr. Denis Bauer leads the transformational bioinformatics team at Australia’s research agency, CSIRO. Kevin-Jeffrey-Rounded

Kevin brings a focus on relationship building and collaboration, as well as experience in enabling data scientists to do their work. Prior to joining IP Australia, Kevin was the National Manager of Innovation at the Australian Crime Commission, where he was the primary driver in embedding the National Criminal Intelligence Fusion Capability into the standard business of the agency. The effort drew recognition from an iAward, an Australian Computer Society Digital Disrupter award, among others.

Kevin has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years, focusing on data and analytics over the past 12 years; including defining fraud-detection systems in derivatives markets, managing the development of fraud and leakage analysis capabilities in health insurance, and improving data management across intelligence.

Kevin Jeffery has been the chief data officer (CDO) of IP Australia since October 2016. Kevin is responsible for delivering on the organization’s vision of creating a world-leading intellectual property (IP) system to build prosperity for Australia, underpinned by the IP Australia data strategy, Data Matters. Through this strategy, Kevin has a remit to improve how the agency manages, protects, and nurtures their data to value.
