Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS), which provides simple and scalable file storage in the AWS Cloud, now provides a simpler way for you to mount your file systems on EC2 instances.
When mounting a file system, you can now use a regional DNS name rather than an AZ-specific DNS name. That means that you no longer need to be aware of which AZ your EC2 instances are in when providing a DNS name in your mount command.
This feature is immediately available in the following regions: US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), and EU (Ireland).
