Amazon EMR now supports M5 and C5 instances

You can now create Amazon EMR clusters with M5 (General Purpose) and C5 (Compute Optimized) EC2 instances. This is available for Amazon EMR clusters with release 5.13.0 and later. Please click here for pricing information.

 

M5 instances are currently supported in US East (N.Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West(Oregon), US West (N.California), Canada (Central), EU(Ireland), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Seoul), EU (Frankfurt), EU(London), and EU (Paris) regions.

C5 instances are currently supported in US East (N.Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West(Oregon), US West (N.California), Canada (Central), EU(Ireland), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), South America (Sao Paulo), EU (Frankfurt), EU(London), and EU (Paris) regions.
