Amazon Lex is now a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant service.
Customers can now use Amazon Lex to capture, transmit, and retrieve sensitive payment card data for use cases such as payment processing, and mobile wallet that are subject to PCI DSS compliance.
PCI DSS is a proprietary information security standard administered by the PCI Security Standards Council and applies to all entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data and/or sensitive authentication data including merchants, processors, acquirers, issuers, and service providers. Amazon Lex is a service for building conversational interfaces using voice and text. Powered by the same conversational engine as Alexa, Amazon Lex provides high quality speech recognition and language understanding capabilities, enabling addition of sophisticated, natural language ‘chatbots’ to new and existing applications.
