Starting today, customers can make change requests for AWS resources/services based on templates in ServiceNow via AWS Systems Manager Change Manager. Upon approval in ServiceNow, these change requests will execute the AWS Systems Manager Automation runbooks associated to the change template. AWS Systems Manager Change Manager simplifies the way you request, approve, implement, and report on operational changes to your application configuration and infrastructure on AWS . This integration enables customers to streamline and align the maintenance, management and governance of AWS resources/services with their familiar IT Change Management (enablement) processes and tools.
This release also introduces a dual sync integration with AWS Support cases and ServiceNow incidents and includes a guided setup process for the Connector scoped app ServiceNow configurations. The connector provides existing integration features for AWS Service Catalog, AWS Config, AWS Systems Manager OpsCenter, AWS Systems Manager Automation and AWS Security Hub, which help simplify cloud provisioning, operations and resource management as well as enables you to view streamlined Service Management governance and oversight over AWS services.
The AWS Service Management Connector for ServiceNow is available at no charge in the ServiceNow Store. These new features are generally available in all AWS Regions where AWS Service Catalog, AWS Config, AWS Systems Manager and AWS Security Hub services are available. For more information, please visit the documentation on the AWS Service Management Connector.
