AWS and SAP Expand Collaboration for SAP Business AI Platform
At SAP Sapphire 2026, AWS announced a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with SAP to expand the availability of SAP Business AI Platform on AWS worldwide. The 5-year agreement will bring SAP Business AI Platform’s platform services, and SAP Business Data Cloud to 7 new AWS regions. This gives customers in regulated industries and emerging markets the performance, compliance, and innovation capabilities they need to transform their businesses.
Meeting customers where they are
New regional deployments will span key markets including India, Japan, United Kingdom, Brazil, Malaysia (ASEAN), Canada, and South Korea, supporting customers across the globe so they can run SAP workloads on AWS infrastructure close to where they operate.
“Customers around the world are accelerating their journey to the cloud and need trusted partners that can support them wherever they operate. Through our extended collaboration with AWS, we’re expanding the availability of SAP Business AI Platform to more regions to help organizations meet local data-residency, compliance, and performance requirements, while unlocking more value from their business data and AI.” – Stefan Goebel, SVP, Portfolio & Strategic Initiatives, SAP Customer Value Group.
For enterprises running high-availability, regulated SAP workloads, regional availability isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Organizations in healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and the public sector face strict data residency requirements, and demand low latency for real-time operations.
“Enterprises shouldn’t have to choose between running the world’s leading business applications and meeting their local compliance and performance requirements. This collaboration supports them and SAP Business AI Platform.” – Sara Alligood, Director WW Strategic Partners, AWS
What this means for customers
