New cybersecurity white paper: Securing water utilities using AWS

Water cybersecurity thumbnail

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is pleased to release a cybersecurity-focused white paper to help support US water utilities that are considering implementing cloud-based IT and operational technology (OT) solutions. Download the white paper here. The white paper discusses the business drivers that are associated with cloud adoption in the US water sector and cybersecurity trends, as well as outlines best practices for implementing cybersecurity controls at a water utility.

The white paper was written in conjunction with Bluefield Research, an independent insight firm focused exclusively on water markets. It includes

  • recommendations, lessons learned, and insights from thought leaders and industry when considering cloud technology, and
  • offers ways that AWS and AWS Partners can help water utilities of all sizes meet many of their cybersecurity challenges using familiar cybersecurity concepts and frameworks, like the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
