AWS for Industries
Your Guide to AWS for Telecom at re:Invent 2026
The AWS for Telecom team invites you to join us at re:Invent in Las Vegas, NV, from November 30 to December 4, 2026. This year’s telecom track is built around interactive, hands-on sessions. Our lineup focuses on the real-world challenges telecom operators face today, so you leave with your questions answered and ready to move projects forward.
If you’ve already registered for the conference, reserved seating is open now. Reserve seats using the re:Invent online catalog. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s no better time than now!
Breakouts
Breakout sessions are theater-style presentations. No reservation is required.
How Telecom Leaders Are Putting AI to Work (IND201)
Telecom operators are putting AI into production for revenue growth, network efficiency, and legacy modernization. Hear real-world examples from leading carriers, the obstacles slowing adoption, and the approaches producing measurable results on AWS.
Inside T-Mobile’s Kinetic Edge: Real-Time Physical AI at Scale (IND384)
T-Mobile needed sub-millisecond AI performance at the network edge for 130 million customers. Hear how the Kinetic Edge Platform delivers Physical AI at production scale. The architecture runs on AWS Outposts with Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
AT&T Expands Connectivity with AWS Interconnect and Amazon Leo (IND3351)
Your customers need resilient last-mile connectivity for AI workloads, and new options now exist. Hear how AT&T is deploying AWS Interconnect for direct provisioning from the AWS Management Console. AT&T will also discuss how they are working with Amazon Leo to bring satellite broadband to underserved locations.
Chalk Talks
Chalk talks are the most interactive sessions in the track. Most of the time is spent at the whiteboard, and you decide where the conversation goes. AWS experts are on hand to answer your questions and diagram the details.
Physical AI in Telecom: A Framework for Workload Placement (IND322)
Where does each Physical AI workload belong? Believe it or not, the answer can range across a continuum of infrastructure options. We will discuss how to choose between AWS Regions, AWS Local Zones, AWS AI Factories, AWS Outposts, and Kubernetes options based on latency, data gravity, sovereignty, and cost.
Telecom Contact Centers: Design Patterns for Integrated AI Agents (IND323)
What does a post-IVR contact center look like? We will discuss agent design patterns on Amazon Connect, how to hand off context to human agents, and integration with OSS and BSS systems.
Modernizing Legacy Telecommunications OSS/BSS Systems (IND314)
What role does agentic AI play in telecom legacy modernization? We will talk about VMware and mainframe migration using AWS Transform and Amazon Bedrock, discussing design trade-offs and infrastructure decisions along the way.
Behind the Scenes: Building the Telecom Concierge (IND385)
Visit AWS for Telecom on the Expo floor to see a demo of a hyper-personalized AI agent that compounds customer relationship with every touchpoint and across all channels. Then, check out this session where we walk through the technology behind the demo and discuss how to apply it in your organization.
Builders’ Sessions and Workshops
In builders’ sessions, you work with an AWS expert in small groups to build a solution, so bring your laptop. In workshops, you follow step-by-step guidance to deploy a specific solution. In both formats, you leave with a working understanding of how the technology operates in practice.
Modernize a Legacy Telecom Billing App with AWS Transform Custom (IND372)
Start by applying a built-in catalog transformation within AWS Transform to modernize an application. Then build a custom transformation targeted at your specific requirements. You will leave with a running modernized application and reusable transformation recipes.
Telecom NOC Operations: Automating Incident Response with AI Agents (IND321)
Network operations teams interpret high volumes of alarms, separate root causes from downstream symptoms, and coordinate remediation under time pressure. In this workshop, you will use the Strands Agents SDK on Amazon Bedrock to build autonomous remediation. Your agents will read, reason about, and execute Standard Operating Procedures for network deployment and incident response.
Lightning Talk
Lightning talks are demo-heavy, 20-minute sessions hosted in the expo hall.
A Day Without Handoffs: Telecom Operations with Amazon Quick (IND213)
Every handoff between teams adds delay and drops context. See demos of Amazon Quick resolving billing disputes, addressing network issues, and completing service requests from a single workspace.
There’s more!
The Expo Hall in the Venetian Hotel is the activity hub of re:Invent for demos, games, and more. The Expo opens at 4:00 PM on December 1st and closes at the same time on December 4th. It is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on December 2nd and the 3rd.
Within the Expo Hall, visit the AWS for Industries Pavilion to connect with AWS for Telecom experts, network with peers, and see an interactive demo of a Telecom AI concierge that delivers hyper-personalized, omni-channel experiences that compound subscriber relationships throughout their lifecycle. The deep-dive on the architecture of the demo is covered in the Chalk Talk session, Behind the Scenes: Building the Telecom Concierge (IND385).
There are thousands of sessions at re:Invent, here are a few outside the Telecom track that might be interesting:
AWS wherever you need it: From the cloud to the edge (HMC202)
Cut through the options: Choosing the right AWS connectivity solution (NET215)
Resilient by design: Simplifying last-mile connectivity with AWS (NET325)
