Government of Portugal and AWS sign MoU to accelerate cloud adoption
Today, the government of Portugal and AWS announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement will help accelerate adoption of cloud computing in the public sector and contribute to the national Digital Transition Strategy of Portugal. Driven by the signing of the agreement, AWS launched Mais Digital Powered by AWS, an initiative that aggregates all of the activities AWS is undertaking in Portugal, to support the country’s digital transition.
AWS Educate releases new cloud resources for entrepreneurs and startups
AWS Educate, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Startups, launched a new AWS Startups Badge for aspiring entrepreneurs to learn how to turn a startup idea into reality through the cloud. The AWS Startups Badge offers AWS Educate members real-world application and use cases to help students jumpstart and scale their deployment efforts.
Supporting Student Entrepreneurs Around the World through the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards
Daniela Blanco, Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at NYU Tandon and founder of her own business, Sunthetics, won the title of Global Champion and $75,000 worth of AWS Promotional Credits at the 2019 Entrepeneurs’ Organization (EO) Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA).
