New Axelos ITIL® 4 Extension Module develops cloud procurement and technology integration skills

As more organizations look to adopt cloud technologies, it’s important to have best practice guidance to ensure you optimize their benefits, both from procurement and the technology itself. That’s why Amazon Web Services (AWS) is pleased to support Axelos, the world’s most respected provider of global best practices, in launching a new, vendor-neutral, ITIL 4 Extension Module called ITIL® 4: Acquiring and Managing Cloud Services.

ITIL has been providing comprehensive, practical, and proven guidance to global organizations and professionals for over 30 years. This framework enables service providers to gain optimal value from IT-enabled products and services and equips them with a clear capability model aligned to an organization’s strategy and customer needs.

The ITIL 4 Extension Modules extend the main ITIL 4 framework and provide organizations with the guidance to address and harness the challenges and opportunities presented by emerging technologies and themes that impact their operations, allowing individuals to learn about ITIL concepts, develop an understanding of relevant ITIL 4 guidance, and enable career development.

ITIL 4 will help organizations and professionals drive their businesses and careers forward with a more flexible, end-to-end operating model for the creation, design, and management of IT-enabled products and services. The certifications consist of real-world best practice concepts, practices, and guidance, which can be adopted and adapted to complement other frameworks and ways of working to thrive in increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environments.
