Amazon CloudWatch Omni is a unified observability experience for applications and agents. Standard CloudWatch rates apply for ingestion and storage. Pay for what you query above the included allowance.
How pricing works
Omni incurs charges based on three dimensions: the telemetry you send to CloudWatch, the data you retain in CloudWatch, and the analysis you run in Omni.
Ingest
Charged per GB ingested. Logs, metrics, traces, and events from any source - application, infrastructure, or third-party.
Store
Charged per GB-month retained. Logs and spans stored in CloudWatch, with optional Intelligent Tiering across three storage tiers.
Analyze
Charged per GB scanned for logs and traces, and per million samples for PromQL queries. Dashboards and alerts are included.

Volume tiers for vended logs and spans
Tiers apply per payer account, per Region, per month. Vended logs Spans First 10 TB $0.50 / GB First 10 TB $0.35 / GB Next 20 TB $0.25 / GB Next 20 TB $0.20 / GB Next 20 TB $0.10 / GB Over 30 TB $0.15 / GB Over 50 TB $0.05 / GB Applies to logs delivered by specific AWS services. Learn more about configuring Vended Log Sources. Indexing spans as X-Ray trace summaries is separate: 1% of ingested spans is indexed free, and you can raise that rate.
Centralization: Aggregate telemetry from multiple accounts or Regions into one account for a centralized Omni experience. The first centralized copy is free. Each additional copy is $0.05/GB. Storage and Query charges apply to all copies based on retention.

Charged per GB-month of log volume stored. Storage charges apply to compressed bytes.

Storage is charged on compressed bytes. Metrics storage is included in the $0.50/GB ingestion rate. Query allowance is calculated on log and span ingestion only.

You run a service across 12 accounts in 3 Regions and centralize its telemetry into one Omni account. Ingestion is charged once in each source account, the first centralized copy is free, and a second copy is kept in another Region for disaster recovery.
