Arvind Mathur

Arvind joined AWS as an Executive in Residence in February 2024. In this role, he is on a mission to help AWS's customers think bigger, move faster, and benefit from his experience driving change and transformation across diverse businesses.

Before joining AWS, Arvind was a CIO and digital leader at leading companies like Kellogg Company, Prudential Insurance and Procter & Gamble, with 26 years at the intersection of business and technology. As a CIO and transformation leader, Arvind turned strategy into results by making AI and analytics work at scale: building modern data platforms, operationalizing governance, scaling self-service decision intelligence, and embedding ML and GenAI into core workflows to improve growth, cost, risk, and customer experience. He modernized core insurance systems, digitized plants and manufacturing, optimized complex supply chains, transformed sales and distribution, and strengthened enterprise cybersecurity—while sustaining operational excellence.

Arvind is known for building durable capabilities and modern ways of working—Agile, DevOps, lean, and product operating models—that help large organizations innovate at speed and at scale. What sets Arvind apart is his ability to navigate the human and organizational side of change—clarifying vision and value, forging cross-functional alignment, and developing leadership, talent, and culture so innovation takes root. Recognized in the World CIO 200 (2019, 2023) and as a Top 100 Fintech Influencer (2019), Arvind has led global teams across regions and lived and worked in India, the Philippines, the United States, and Singapore, bringing a global operator’s perspective to complex transformations. Arvind holds an MBA in Finance from MDI Gurgaon and is an Industrial Engineer by training. He currently resides in Singapore with his family.
