AWS Resilience Hub

AWS Resilience Hub

Continuously assess and strengthen the resilience of your workloads on AWS

What is AWS Resilience Hub?

AWS Resilience Hub is a central location in the AWS Console for you to manage and improve the resilience of your workloads on AWS. Resilience Hub gives you expert-level analysis and actionable guidance to achieve your resilience objectives. It identifies gaps before they become incidents and provides centralized visibility into your resilience posture.

With AWS Resilience Hub, a built-in generative AI-driven assessment engine evaluates the resilience of your workloads against your resilience policies, Well-Architected best practices, and the AWS Resilience Analysis Framework to deliver actionable recommendations. Resilience Hub also includes dependency discovery, giving you visibility into the AWS services, internal endpoints, and third-party systems that your workloads depend on.

Benefits

Resilience analysis requires deep expertise that can take days or weeks of effort to complete manually. With AWS Resilience Hub, a multi-agent AI engine evaluates your architecture against AWS resilience best practices, delivering in-depth analysis of your workload's ability to withstand failures, recover from disasters, and restore data. Run assessments as often as you need, as your architecture evolves.

Shift your resilience posture from reactive to proactive. Resilience Hub identifies risks across your architecture and delivers actionable recommendations, giving your team everything they need to remediate issues before they ever reach your customers.

Gain visibility into the AWS services, internal endpoints, and third-party dependencies your applications rely on, including unexpected cross-region calls and integrations your team may not be aware of. Resilience Hub continuously discovers and maps these dependencies without manually maintaining point-in-time spreadsheets and lists, allowing you to identify single points of failure and reduce risk before an unknown dependency impacts the availability of your services.

Easily produce resilience reports without needing to manually gather data from multiple teams. Regardless of how many AWS accounts you have, Resilience Hub consolidates findings, recommendations, and compliance status across all your services into a single view, allowing you to generate resilience reports for stakeholders and auditors without the manual overhead.

Features

Run failure mode assessments, powered by a multi-agent AI engine, to help you uncover potential failures before they occur in production. The assessment engine reads your current resource state, analyzes your topology, and evaluates your architecture—finding risks you didn't know existed. It then generates actionable recommendations that shift your resilience posture from reactive to proactive.

Discover and maintain a list of the AWS services, internal endpoints, and third-party systems your services depend on—including dependencies you may not know about. Continuous scanning keeps your dependency inventory always up to date, eliminating stale point-in-time snapshots and giving you a more complete picture to plan and test your service resilience.

View the resilience posture of your entire organization from a single dashboard—across all AWS accounts, regions, and organizational units. Set resilience policies once and apply them organization-wide, track assessment trends over time, and filter by compliance status to quickly identify where gaps exist.

Use cases

Establish and track organizational resilience standards

Establish resilience policies by defining availability service level objectives (SLOs) such as 99.99% uptime, recovery time objectives (RTO), recovery point objectives (RPO), and disaster recovery strategies. Assign a resilience policy to each of your services and track compliance to those policies over time.

Automate failure mode analysis for mission-critical applications

Replace manual, expert-driven resilience reviews with on-demand, GenAI-powered assessments that analyze your architecture against multiple failure modes. Assessments provide prioritized findings and actionable recommendations that you can implement to improve your availability, disaster recovery, and data restoration.

Prioritize resilience efforts

Assessing services with the proper business context allows you to focus your improvement efforts and resources on the services that are most impactful to your customers. Resilience Hub provides findings and recommendations that are tied directly to your business outcomes, so you can prioritize remediation based on business impact, not just where infrastructure is misconfigured.

Customers

Ikano Bank

"At Ikano Bank, we wanted to fully realize the benefits of the cloud, particularly its disaster recovery capabilities, but didn’t have the in-house capability to make that happen. AWS Resilience Hub provided tailored recommendations based on the AWS Well-Architected Framework, ensuring that our implementation aligned with best practices for operational excellence and reliability. As a financial institution, this gives us peace of mind that we have resilience built into our systems."

Pearson

Pearson taps AWS Resilience Hub to improve application resilience. Watch the video.

"With AWS Resilience Hub, we could take a look at what our applications do...and ask ourselves 'is this a mission-critical application or can it go down for a little while and not impact our operations?' AWS Resilience Hub was critical to that because we were able to input values and very quickly understand what applications actually are important to Pearson."

Aval Digital Labs

"ADL Digital Labs (ADL) was born in 2017 and today it is one of the best platforms for boosting digital products for financial services industry in Latin America. Recognizing the importance of delivering highly reliable solutions to its customers, ADL has incorporated AWS Resilience Hub to verify and track the resilience posture of its applications while maintaining visibility into policy compliance and availability targets. The integration of AWS Resilience Hub into ADL's business continuity framework resulted in the validation of resilience and business continuity posture for eight transactional channels, serving around 4 million clients across four of Colombia's major financial entities."
