AWS Snowball and AWS Snowball Edge are available in Asia Pacific (Seoul) Region
AWS Snowball and AWS Snowball Edge are now available in the Asia Pacific (Seoul) region. Snowball and Snowball Edge are data transfer services that use secure, ruggedized devices to move up to petabytes of data into and out of Amazon S3 for migration, edge computing, machine learning and analytics.
AWS Snowball and AWS Snowball Edge help overcome the challenges to of moving large data sets to the cloud when you do not have adequate network bandwidth for transfers. For edge computing in remote, disconnected and harsh environments, AWS Snowball Edge also enables you to run specific Amazon EC2 instances. You can develop and test applications in AWS, and then deploy them on Snowball Edge devices, to collect and pre-process data for image analysis or machine learning. You can then ship the data back to AWS for storage and further processing.
