You can now use AWS DataSync to transfer data into and out of 2 additional AWS Regions: Europe (Milan) and Africa (Cape Town).
AWS DataSync is an online data transfer service that simplifies, automates, and accelerates copying large amounts of data to and from AWS Storage services over the internet or AWS Direct Connect. DataSync automates data transfers, including encryption, scheduling, monitoring, and data integrity validation. You can use DataSync to migrate active data to AWS, transfer data to the cloud for analysis and processing, archive data to free up on-premises storage capacity, or replicate data to AWS for business continuity.
With this launch, DataSync is now available in 22 AWS Regions: US East (Northern Virginia and Ohio), US West (Northern California and Oregon), Canada (Central), AWS GovCloud (US-East and US-West), South America (São Paulo), Europe (Frankfurt, Ireland, London, Paris, Stockholm, and Milan), Middle East (Bahrain), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong, Mumbai, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo), and Africa (Cape Town). To learn more visit the AWS DataSync product page or try it out in the AWS Console.
