Alliander Speeds Innovation and Energy Transition
Michiel de Groot—product owner, FAAM, at Netherlands-based grid operator Alliander—says generative artificial intelligence (AI) is having a massive impact on the energy transition. The organization uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build a foundation for image recognition at scale. With services such as Amazon SageMaker AI and Amazon Rekognition, it extracts information from more than 17 million stored images, driving new use cases that help Alliander work smarter.

AWS is enabling Alliander to innovate faster, to scale up, and to speed up digitalization.
