About Spribe
Betting and gaming company SPRIBE creates engaging games and solutions for more than 4,500 online casinos in over 100 countries. It has more than 35 million unique monthly players.
Opportunity | Migrating to AWS to Meet Global Gaming Demand

SPRIBE develops games and software for more than 4,500 online casinos in over 100 countries. It has attracted more than 35 million unique monthly players globally in just 5 years, and with the popularity of its Aviator game, the number of active users doubled multiple times in a short period.
The company needed an infrastructure that could support its growth and maintain the gaming experience that customers around the world had come to expect. With its previous cloud provider, SPRIBE couldn’t scale on demand to meet its compute and storage needs. So, SPRIBE migrated to AWS. “We moved to AWS for improved flexibility and availability of services, along with the great customer support,” says George Machitidze, chief information officer at SPRIBE.
The project went smoothly. SPRIBE migrated its entire production and development infrastructure to AWS in just 4 hours. And, following this, the SPRIBE team engaged with AWS Enterprise Support, which provides a comprehensive suite of resources, including proactive planning, advisory services, and 24/7 expert support, to optimize its setup and workflows.
Solution | Increasing Capacity and Reducing Time to Market
On AWS, SPRIBE has more control over its resources, empowering it to deliver excellent experiences for millions of players around the world. For example, it can handle as many as 250,000 bets a minute—4 times more than when SPRIBE was on its previous infrastructure. In addition, the game developer is saving substantial amounts of money.
SPRIBE’s rapid growth on AWS has led to nearly 100 development environments and a similar number of production environments. With on-demand scaling and expanded compute capacity, SPRIBE can easily test performance. As a result, it has significantly reduced its time to market. Whereas rolling out a platform to a new operator used to take several months, SPRIBE can complete the process in less than 1 month. “We’re able to sustain big workloads when required, and support stable growth in our production environments,” says Machitidze.
Outcome | Optimizing Infrastructure with Insight
SPRIBE can better track the status of its resources using AWS. “We receive reports that weren’t available from our previous provider,” says Machitidze. SPRIBE uses this information to help ensure its IT environment is fit for future challenges.
The company also plans to expand beyond being a game provider to offer broader solutions. “We’ve gained the flexibility we need on AWS,” says Machitidze. “We’ve optimized our resources so that we can continue to grow within our budget.”
