Since launching on AWS, Cautio has rapidly rolled out new features and begun embedding AI into its dashboard to simplify user experience.

Cautio was founded to solve a pressing problem on India’s roads: the lack of transparency, accountability, and safety in the transport sector. Cautio addresses this with AI-enabled dashcams and a connected platform that gives fleet owners full visibility into every journey.

Each device streams high-definition video from both the road and the cabin, detects unsafe driving behavior, and triggers instant alerts for issues like fatigue, distracted driving, or smoke in the vehicle. With thousands of devices deployed and continuous data flowing in—from video feeds and GPS signals to AI-triggered alerts—Cautio needed a backend that could handle the scale without faltering. “AWS gave us that,” says Nadhani, providing the fault-tolerant and distributed environment required to run Cautio’s infrastructure reliably.

By adopting AWS services like Amazon Kinesis and Amazon EventBridge, Cautio was able to ingest and route real-time data streams across its platform with minimal latency, ensuring uninterrupted insights from the field. This setup gave the team the confidence to launch new features quickly—like automated incident tagging, multilingual driver prompts, and emergency SOS notifications—without worrying about infrastructure bottlenecks.

“This peace of mind is what keeps us going with AWS. We’re not thinking about what happens if our site goes down or our traffic spikes, we’re thinking about how to serve customers better,” Nadhani says.

Turning dashboards into conversations

Today, Cautio’s platform powers real-time fleet monitoring, incident detection, and on-the-ground decision-making. It’s trusted by operators like Namma Yatri, Indeanta Mobility, and Shoffr and has already been deployed across hundreds of thousands of journeys and millions of kilometers. The results are consistent: fewer complaints, more accountability, and better on-road behavior.

And this is just the beginning. Cautio is now integrating AI features on AWS, allowing fleet managers to interact with their data through simple, natural-language prompts. Instead of navigating layered dashboards, users can ask questions like “Which vehicle had the most sudden braking events yesterday?” and get instant, actionable responses.
