We are excited to share three new how-to guides featuring best practices for creating and uploading architecture diagrams, case studies and customer references, and microsites. Each guide provides clear benefits to Partners for building these assets and explains why the APN asks for them in applications for AWS Service Delivery, AWS Competency, and AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) Programs. The how-to guides also detail how the APN uses Partner-submitted documentation and gives a few examples approved by the APN.

At Hannover Messe 2018, the world’s largest trade show for industrial technology, we announced the AWS Industrial Software Competency Program will launch later in 2018 and help customers find highly qualified APN Partners to effectively solve their business challenges. Hannover Messe features insights from industrial thought leaders, as well as AWS product announcements in the Industrial IoT and Machine Learning spaces.

To help businesses gather feedback and understand the impacts they’ve had on AWS customers, we launched a “Rate this Partner” button in the AWS Partner Solutions Finder last year. The APN Customer Satisfaction program (CSAT) provides Partners with meaningful data that you can use to better understand your customers. Ask your APN representative if you have customer reviews already, and note that to unlock APN CSAT data you must have received at least 10 Customer Reviews.

For APN Partners helping customers migrate, manage, or deploy Microsoft Workloads to AWS, we are introducing an Application Modernization category within the AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency, as well as the Amazon EC2 for Windows Service Delivery designation. Through our Microsoft Workloads Partners’ investment in developing a Windows on AWS practice, we know customers will have an exceptional experience and the most efficient deployment running Windows applications on AWS.

The new AWS Solution Provider Program is designed for APN Consulting Partners to resell authorized services to end customers. Authorized Solution Providers benefit from a tiered discount structure that rewards APN Partners for their technical investments on AWS and their ability to bring in new business. This program enables Authorized Solution Providers to manage, service, support, and bill AWS accounts for end customers, and enables end customers to have their own terms with AWS.

AWS Solution Space allows AWS Competency Partners to showcase customer-ready solutions based on architectures validated by AWS. These are quick, cost effective, repeatable solutions meant to create new business leading to production workloads. Customers can also request AWS support for launching each solution. At launch, we are featuring 10 customer-ready solutions: 5 for Big Data, 3 for Machine Learning, one for Security, and one for End User Computing.

AWS provides the broadest and deepest capabilities with the largest global infrastructure for building end-to-end blockchain solutions. We are excited to announce the AWS Blockchain Partners Portal that supports customers’ integration of blockchain solutions with systems built on AWS, and we invite you to check out current blockchains and review reference architecture, deployment strategies, and development tools. Our team was especially proud to represent the AWS Partner Network (APN) at the sixth annual Global Partner Summit, held in Las Vegas during AWS re:Invent 2017. Global Partner Summit included a keynote by Terry Wise, Vice President of Global Alliances, Ecosystem, and Channels, as well as dozens of breakout sessions over two days featuring business and technical topics to help you grow your AWS-based practice.

We are excited to announce several updates to AWS Training and Certification that will make it easier for you to build your cloud skills on AWS and learn about the many new services we launched at AWS re:Invent 2017. New offerings include AWS digital training and a new entry-level certification called AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. Plus, we have added several new Partner Training courses that are specifically designed to help APN Partners address customer needs with AWS solutions.

The APN Badge Manager is a tool that allows Select tier and above APN Partners to access, manage, and create custom badges to showcase the APN Program designations and AWS Competencies that your company holds. With APN Badge Manager, APN Partners can build customized badges to suit different communications goals. The tool will dynamically create an APN Badge with up to five program components. To get started, login to APN Partner Central and select the Badge Manager link on the left menu.
