AWS Week in Review – October 28, 2013

Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week:

Monday, October 28	I published a new AWS Report video featuring Chris Langway of Optaros. The AWS Application Management Blog discussed CloudFormation and the New AWS CLI. The AWS .Net Development Blog talked about Getting Your EC2 Windows Password.
Tuesday, October 29	We started to publish Additional CloudWatch Metrics for Elastic Load Balancers. We issued an Elastic MapReduce Update, with Hadoop 2.0 and More. The AWS Security Blog discussed some AWS CloudHSM Use Cases.
Wednesday, October 30	We announced that you can now Search and Browse Metrics in the CloudWatch Console. The AWS PHP Development Blog talked about Sending Requests Through a Proxy. The AWS Ruby Development Blog talked about AWS SDK Core Response Structures. The AWS .Net Development Blog talked about Access Key Management for .Net Applications.
Thursday, October 31	We launched Fine-Grained Access Control for Amazon DynamoDB. We released a Developer Preview of the AWS SDK for JavaScript in the Browser. We released the Identity and Access Management Policy Simulator. We released Cross-Region Snapshot Copy for Amazon RDS. We announced that the AWS CloudFormation Console is now Available in the AWS GovCloud (US) Region.
Friday, November 1	I published a new AWS Report video featuring Robert Peterson and the AWS Marketplace. We announced the General Availability of Elastic Load Balancing in the AWS GovCloud (US) Region. We launched a new CloudFront PoP in Atlanta, Georgia and Additional PoPs in London and Frankfurt. The AWS .Net Development Blog talked about Working With Amazon S3 Object Versions. This week AWS Marketplace added new products including SafeNet, Appian, ChartIQ, Dicom, Media Shuttle, Telestax, and SiSense.
