The Powered by Generative AI and BI Global Roadshow is coming to a city near you

The AWS team is organizing exciting new events that will run through the remainder of 2024, delivering engaging sessions on the latest innovations with AWS pertaining to generative artificial intelligence (AI) and business intelligence (BI), Amazon Q, analytics, and machine learning (ML). The events also include a hands-on boot-camp focused on offering tailored solutions to business personas. The aim is to help our customers innovate faster using data analytics, ML, and generative BI on AWS, all with no code. This event is designed to cater to a diverse audience, from business leaders seeking to explore the frontiers of generative AI and Amazon Q to individuals with limited or no coding experience who aspire to dive into end-to-end data workflows. Even seasoned coders are invited to discover how they can unlock faster insights and harness the power of generative BI.

Traeger Grills’s Customer Experience team drives customer satisfaction significantly using Amazon QuickSight

Traeger Grills invented the Original Wood-Fired Grill over 30 years ago in Mt. Angel, Oregon. We make it easy for home cooks to create delicious wood-fire flavored meals, and have enhanced our grill products by selling a variety of merchandise, from wood pellets and accessories to meals, seasonings, and T-shirts. Traeger Grills’s Customer Experience team is responsible for order management, customer service, and technical support for customers and commercial partners like The Home Depot, ACE Hardware, and Amazon. In this post, we discuss how Traeger Grills’s Customer Experience team uses Amazon QuickSight for data insights, helping drive customer satisfaction score from approximately 72% to 93%, and improved our first call resolution number from about 40% to 75%.

Generative BI dashboard authoring capabilities now available in preview for Amazon QuickSight Q customers

Amazon QuickSight customers can now try generative business intelligence (BI) capabilities in preview to build visuals, build calculations, and refine visuals by using the natural language interface of Amazon QuickSight Q. These new capabilities are the first wave of generative BI capabilities announced at the 2023 AWS New York Summit, and build on the early AI innovation of the natural language query capability of Q, which has enabled business users to ask questions of their data without having to write SQL queries or learn a BI tool since 2020. Generative BI in QuickSight is powered by Amazon Bedrock large language models (LLMs), which securely retain data within the AWS environment.
