Manage Amazon WorkSpaces with VMware Workspace ONE UEM

VMware Workspace ONE customers can now manage Amazon WorkSpaces cloud-based virtual desktops in addition to their other user endpoints from a unified management console. This can be done using VMware Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) 2212 or later from the Workspace ONE Software as a Service (SaaS) web console.

IT operation teams need the ability to manage the lifecycle of desktops across multiple platforms including office desktops, home desktops, mobile devices, and now Amazon WorkSpaces desktops. With VMware Workspace ONE UEM, IT operation teams can distribute consistent assigned applications and policies to any of these device types. IT operations teams can also perform critical operating system patching from the same console. End users can get the same applications on any desktop they log into and even receive a consistent IT support experience across all of their work-related desktops.

VMware Workspace ONE UEM can provide a single solution for your modern workforce endpoint management requirements. Amazon WorkSpaces enables you to provision virtual, cloud-based desktops for your end users with access from any location, even through a web browser. With Amazon WorkSpaces, you can quickly add and remove users to desktops without having to procure and deploy hardware. Amazon WorkSpaces gives users access to Windows, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux desktops running in the highly secure, reliable, AWS Cloud.

Currently Workspace ONE UEM supports Amazon WorkSpaces Bring Your Own License (BYOL) Windows desktop operation systems, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux 2 desktops.
