Dr. Marco Guerriero is a Practice Manager for Emerging Technologies and Intelligence Platform at AWS. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering - Information, Communication, Decision, and Biosystems from the University of Connecticut, with a thesis on the intersection between control, bayesian statistical inference, machine learning and optimization, applied to decentralized detection and multi-target tracking. His research interests lie in the areas of machine learning, statistical inference and mathematical optimization. He worked for a wide range of research centers, such as North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and for global companies--spanning multiple industry verticals from defense and security, manufacturing and railway systems to energy, robotics, and industrial automation. He has authored over 60 journal and conference papers and five US patents. He loves working on ways for emergent technologies, such as AI/ML, Big Data, IoT, Quantum, and more to help businesses across different industry verticals succeed within their innovation journey.
