LendUp, Segment and More: Startup Central at the AWS Summit – San Francisco

Lendup, Segment, and other prominent San Francisco-based startups all spoke at the most recent Startup Central event in San Francisco. For those of you that are unfamiliar, there is something of value for everyone at the AWS Summits, a free event series that brings the cloud computing community together. These events are intended to provide educational value to attendees of all skill levels and industry backgrounds and demonstrate how they can utilize AWS for designing, deploying, and eventually operating infrastructures and applications. The next AWS Summit is being held in San Francisco on April 4th, where CTO Werner Vogels and Dr. Matt Wood, GM of Artificial Intelligence, will be delivering the keynote.

For this year’s AWS Summit in San Francisco, we are debuting Startup Central, a dynamic and collaborative experience that is designed to help attendees build and develop their startup, learn, and make valuable connections. Here’s how it breaks down:

  • Startup Central: This main hub is a place where startups can meet, listen to tech talks by other startups, and get in-person answers to AWS technical questions. Please note that Startup Central will be located on the second floor Atrium of Moscone West, rather than in the expo hall.
  • Ask a Startup Expert Bar: AWS startup experts will be onsite throughout the entirety of the event day to answer any technical questions you may have, whether they be product/service specific, or basic, foundational questions you may want clarification on. No appointment necessary!
  • Lightning Talks featuring Hot Startups: Join us at Startup Central’s theater for a series of engaging talks from other startup companies’ CEOs, CTOs, and lead engineers. They’ll chat about some of the projects they’re working on, products/services they’ve used, and how they’ve utilized AWS to ultimately find success. Featured startups include Benchling, Wealthfront, Segment, Gusto, Thrivee, and Gremlin.

You can continue your learning by attending sessions, workshops, and hands-on activities. Find the full AWS Summit – San Francisco agenda here.
